I’m so happy that we share the same opinions on this hotel! Absolutely my favorite hotel in the entire world! I’ve stayed in the St Regis and Metropolitan suite numerous times and it is beyond amazing! The only flaw that this hotel has is that the water pressure of the rainfall shower is kinda weak😂 but it is a very minor issue and doesn’t take away the other accomplishments of this hotel!

This st regis hongkong I think is the best urban hotel of its brand. But, HongKong has so many wonderful luxury hotels, such as Rosewood (This is the best urban hotel in the world perhaps) and upper house.

Yes! I was just in Hong Kong 2 weeks ago and stayed at the Regent. But the Rosewood is the number one hotel on my list if I go back it’s just so expensive, not sure if they ever have any discounts.

I really like the Le Méridien, Seoul (previously the lovely Ritz Carlton), and am sorry that it closed!!

Good to know! I might be staying at the Le Méridien Seoul this June along with 5 other luxury properties in Seoul Lord Willing! I had know idea it used to be a Ritz Carlton, I’m surprised they didn’t re open it as a Ritz Carlton and as a Le Méridien 🤔

Thanks for the video, looks like an amazing hotel. I have to say that when you are done with Marriott (in 20 years probably), you should check out the palace hotels in Paris or the hotels on that level in the key cities, like London for example. Its a whole other level compared to the chain luxury hotels.

Thank you for the feedback and I’m definitely open to exploring other brands and properties. Some of those in Paris you mentioned do look very nice! It’s just hard as my loyalty and passion currently is for Marriott and I have a goal to someday lead the guest experience and Bonvoy Program globally Lord Willing.

Great review, Josh. I love your excitement and passion for properties. I'm surprised you didn't mention the evening St Regis champagne sabring at the St Regis Bar. It was quite an event when I stayed here a few years ago. You should consider including the sabring in your future St Regis reviews! Personally, while I thought it was a fantastic luxury hotel, I found the lack of a proper buffet breakfast disappointing, along with the oddly claustrophobic rooftop pool due to a lack of view.

Thanks for the feedback:) I have videoed some of the champagne, savoring events at other St. Regis hotels when I am there and they are doing it. I unfortunately missed it at this one. I do agree with you though about the pool. It kind of seems like you’re in a prison with all those walls around you.

In general, most Ritz hotels have better views than the ones of Regis but Regis hotels have better services.

I think each brand has hotels with good and bad views. Honestly I think it’s about even as I’ve had many of the best views of my life at both.

In General, I would consider St Regis slightly above Ritz Carlton. Also a big fan of the SR in BKK and Doha.

If the Regis HK building architect can design the steel facade also exposed inside the room, it will make more wow and futuristic design imo

Hahahahaha, I can get your feeling, especially you are coming from US where the quality of luxury hotels, average may be of the lowest compare to the rest of the world, and it;s very expensive. Asia luxury hotels has the biggest room, the best design and cheapest rate. In Asia, if you don;t have 50 sqm room for entry level, you cannot call it luxury. The design and construction standard is very vaired from regions.

From what I’ve seen this hotel room was one of the best I’ve ever stayed in in my life. I’m sure there may be others on a similar level, and if so I would love to learn about them and hope to plan a trip. You said you have seen better, which ones? I’d love to add them to my list.

@@gogotravelwithjosh Any of the Palace hotels in Paris, and in London Lanesborough and Dorchester comes to mind. If just in Hong Kong, Rosewood, Four Seasons and Ritz Carlton looks better than the St Regis and the Ritz boast the most spectacular view in the whole of Hong Kong with guest rooms starting at 100+ floors.
