Good info. Well i visited a village where a bunch of succulents were growing in a broken iron vessel with just normal soil and ash. I think we are making things so much complicated with husk, paddy, neem khali, perlite, cinder, moss peat, leaf peat and so on.😅

Generally, this is very good advice, but cacti are very diverse, and some do well with higher levels of water and organic material. I learned this lesson trying to grow Pitahaya and another tropical cactus. They like a little more water, increased nutrients and can handle more organic soil.

This has to be the best video explaining what to use and why or why not, I will Highly Recommend to all my groups. I recently bought coco coir after seeing several videos that used it as a base for Adenium seed germination, it may work in the desert but not here in Georgia (High Humidity spring & summer) and find out that it holds too much water, so now I will need to transplant them quicker into a mix using your recipe or if you have another recipe just for seed/seedlings, They did sprout in 3 days it's been 1 week today, can you do a video on Adenium from seed until 1 year old (should cover most of my questions) with detail on the right soil mix, how to water, cover or not to cover with plastic, sun, gro-lights, or shade and for how long, then transplanting after 1 month or when to, I still have seeds to plant, I'm just testing very few seeds to see what does work best here in my region but I can't keep buying different products and risk having problems later. Also, I would like your opinion on using these ingredients or substitutes- lava rocks/pebbles, chicken grit, pumice, perlite, pine bark or fir bark into the mix to help with drainage, I have different recipes for them all, it gets very confusing. Thank You Excellent Videos! It's A Rainy Night In Georgia!
@GardenTips5 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Adenium’s keep away from coco peat or coir. I have an old video on how to germinate Adenium seeds kzbin.info/www/bejne/eXWwqJhtiNifpK8 But these were amazon bought Adenium seeds that never germinate. Now I have seed pods in my Adenium, will harvest fresh seeds and make a video of entire process. ,

Hello sir , Q1.) in nursery from seedlings to after grafting also they grow in cocopeat for a year or 3 year. In cocopeat also they just keep growing, wont get rotten or die. But if we grow adenium, zz , secculents in cocopeat they will die in a month. How it's not the case in nursery ??(in some nursery near by me, I always see the cocopeat in adenium, zz or secculent pot will be fully wet, yet still maali water it daily) Q2.) Some says to avoid garden soil in potting mix, as it has high possibility fungus or bacteria in it.
@GardenTips2 жыл бұрын
Controlled watering and full direct sunlight is the key. Cocopeat will not harm but less sunlight and less water evaporation is the cause . Sandy soil is best and no deep containers.

They need very less. U can give vermicompost which has all these nutrients and sufficient. If its flowering plants like kalanchoe adeniums, u need to fertilize organic like cowdung or Npk fertilizer once 15 days.
