Jebo, you are going hard core on us in this video! For the newbies: watch out for "widow makers" overhead. Sometimes, even a healthy looking brach will break off a nearby tree in high winds and you will have little chance to avoid injury or death if you are under it. Thankfully, our host lived to share his adventure and tarp test. Real life example: I got a call mid-winter before I retired to SE Asia. A cabin my customer's family kept for visitors next door to their main home sustained damage during a winter storm. There was a pine tree limb sticking up out of the roof of the cabin. I was able to saw off the limb and chuck the upper part of the limb off the roof deck. The lower half of the limb was carried out of the cabin on foot. The aged shingles were very brittle in the winter cold. A three (3) layer patch was woven in and prevented leaks until spring when a new roof was applied. A human under that limb would not have been so easy to repair.

Actually you are right, but I badly wanted to give that Temu tarp a good test. I had 2 Huge branches sitting on my campsite next morning, as it got very windy overnight. That old Oak Tree loves me a great deal, as it always gets me small presents thrown down when I am under it. 😀 I usually find some of the heavier staff next morning or a day. Sounds crazy, but that is how it works. I will be more careful next time, maybe mother nature wants to warn me or not, who knows. Thank you for sparing time and watching my hardcore dear Jack! 👍

Perfect video for the perfect storm, lots of rain water to gather for drinking from tarp corners if in survival mode, even the ants knew where to stay dry, and I like how you did not use metal stakes, or other electricity conductors for your tarp setup, you are a natural in your element Jebo, thank you for the great videos

Ok , you help me decide what food I will take on my boat ,shore camp.I will take kielbasa and cheese. Ukrainian bread
@JEBOOUTDOORS6 ай бұрын
Cheese makes you thirsty, so have more water than usual. I would take lots of snacks, like nut mix for energy. As for the food, Kielbasa is great choice as it tastes great and almost spoil resistant. Also take some hot dogs, easy to make and you can even it them raw : ), Ham and Spam would work as well, some dry mac for back up, not my favorite though, but does the job.

Sorry. I really don't feel sorry for them on this fooling you should have realize where you set up your tent
@JEBOOUTDOORS5 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment. There are no perfect spots you can set up your tent, there's always a risk of getting rained, flooded, wildlife dangers, etc.

Does not matter where you are, when under storm and huge trees. I was lucky not staying overnight, got 2 rotten branches on my tarp. I will do outdoor overnights when I have more time off work, sorry if I did not meet your expectations

I got locked out of my house one night for a few hours and had to drink my own urine. Forgot I had the keys in my back pocket
@JEBOOUTDOORS5 ай бұрын
@@Pluralofvinylisvinyls That's unfortunate, but you could hold for several hours without water and urine would not hydrate you, it's like almost drinking dirty and contaminated water.
