This was amazing! I'm 66 and grew up listening to D. P. To hear this done in this style is outstanding. Something else I noticed. Sina is all about music. Obviously, people come to her channel for her drumming skills. In this video, there was very little about Sina and her drum skills. It was all about the various musicians. Beautiful job.

I also just commented similarly in another forum (Patreon), that Sina was content providing rhythm support and not grabbing the spotlight. The fact that she lets her colleagues shine and allows them to do their best is one of the aspects that makes her so special. That and the fact she is a true humanitarian... This isn't even a comment on the song or music, but I needed to mention and add that these qualities (including her amazing talent) is what draws in supporters (like me and her other patreon members). I have listened to this numerous times. All the musicians play wonderfully, but I have to give credit to the sound engineering. The sound is big and consistent, but not sterile in the least. This sounds great when listened to with good speakers and headphones. Good job.

It was only recently I found out the lyrics are inspired mostly on the "Elric of Melniboné" series of fantasy books by Michael Moorcock. Superb cover of a great song. I saw DP perform this at Knebworth Park in June 1985, where they were supported by Scorpions, Meat Loaf and a few other bands. I remember Ian Gillan making a rubbish joke about the song being based on a football team called the Perfect Street Rangers. Then he giggled so much during Knocking At Your Back Door that he could barely finish it, but that's another story.

I was an adult when this was originally released by Deep Purple. This version is to put it mildly simply stunning. I love the orchestral and brass additions, the arrangement is nigh on perfect. This is so hard to say which version that I prefer. Well done everyone involved. Brilliant!
