I think I've watched about every tutorial on KZbin of this technique and I must say, You have Absolutely the BEST tutorial of this technique on KZbin!!!! WOW!! ALL 3 of your Basic wire wrapping videos are SUPERB, THE BEST ON KZbin! Literally!!!! The tips you give are just phenomenal! Luv how you do the measuring & where to cut. I think That's one of the biggest confusions for people when trying to learn this technique. Such a lifesaver! :) I'm really happy I found your KZbin Channel. I hope to see more of you! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with the World/Beading Community. 😉🌹

Just found you today! You are my new best friend! I have been frustrated with wire wrapping for years and given it up multiple times. Your simplifying details makes it sooooo much easier to understand! I am spending a half hour everyday just making loops till I can do them in my sleep! You are right there with me, explaining it each time. When you get to my age, repetition is important! I can't tell you how happy I am to have found you!!!

OMG Liz,I get so excited watching you work and making it look so easy. I want to take pride in what I make, but it is tough if you don't have good instructions. Your video's are 10+. I do not have a bead store where I live. So to hear you say you do not have to spend a fortune on tools was such a relief for me. Another video said to buy the best, German tools, which are a small fortune. I can use my left hand as you indicated, oh what a difference... Thank you so much, you are an excellent instructor.

Barbara Starlyt Thank you Barbara for your amazing comment. I say start out with the best you can afford when buying tools. When you're first starting out, you're rough on them and you might not get into it so why waste a fortune? I do have decent tools on my website that won't break the bank. www.makingiteasywithliz.com

So very simple, and so pretty! my 2 year old loves making a necklace, her first one she made, was for grand mommy. Perfect for children to make, in fact I had my first grade class all make one. The boys of course used different colors. Good tools are a must, if you want them to last forever.

Barbara Starlyt Hi Barbara. I love your excitement and enthusiasm! Yes, there are fabulous tools out there (Lindstrom = $60 per plier) and German tools are very good but are expensive. If you are just starting out, you don't have to buy expensive tools right away. You will be going through several to see what size works for you and what your needs will be as you gain experience. I will be selling good tools at a great price on my website (still waiting for it to be completed, aargh!). Thanks so much for your support and your kind comment.

@makingiteasywithliz 8 жыл бұрын
Hi Avril I'm guessing you're talking about tucking in your wire after cutting it..your wraps might not be tight enough around the wire or too separated and causing them to move. I use a regular Sharpie permanent marker. Yes it will rub off but leaves a faint mark so you can remark it, frequently. Thank you for your support and calling me Lizard...haven't heard that in awhile.

I owned a bead shop so I always had access to supplies. You want a full flush cutter, and spend some money on it. $20+ should get you a good cutter. Heavy gauge wire 18 gauge and heavier needs a heavy duty cutter. It's all about the steel it's made of. Cheap cutters will not last long,

Can you do this with head pins
@makingiteasywithliz
@makingiteasywithliz 7 жыл бұрын
Headpins are awesome for this, my favorite. They're work hardened and make nice precise wraps. 2.5-3" long. I do sell headpins in bulk on my website. Many thanks for watching, and your great question LisaC. www.makingiteasywithliz.com

Look for "wire wrapped pendant link" or wire wrapped cabachon. You may need to modify it to fit your needs.

I need somw help. I have used different types of permanent markers to mark my round nose pliers. They all seem to rub off 😭 which marker do you use.
@makingiteasywithliz
@makingiteasywithliz 5 жыл бұрын
Yes, it does rub off but leaves enough of a mark to see where to remark it. Thanks for watching. I use Sharpie.

Half-hard wire or use long head pins which are hard wire.

@makingiteasywithliz
@makingiteasywithliz 6 жыл бұрын
+Simone I like 20 gauge for 6mm-8mm beads. Use 18g for larger, 22g for smaller. You will know with experience.
