You were right, I was mixing this up with another recent product that was fairly limited. This is newer and has better capabilities. When I've used a Stomp, getting into the HXEdit software was what really helped unlock it. From memory, the Pod Go was more limited with parameters you could change. I didn't see much about using an editing app with this. A Pod go in a relatively small pedal format is pretty cool in itself. If they've progressed their editing software and you can use presets on this and offer it at a reasonable price, this should be pretty popular.

That’s actually a cool idea to build a board: tough plastic organizer boxes! I bet you could build a larger one with LED strips for a stage/dark bedroom backlight. There are all sorts of shapes and sizes of these clear organizing and lunch boxes. It would probably hold up for most people who don’t stomp hard. If need be, the pedals can be raised and velcroed to the right height onto something like a shallower container, cardboard, etc. should the container be a tad too deep. Then pop a lid on top when you’re done so dust won’t get inside. Pack a second box for lunch. Done!

Just get something like a pedaltrain riser that holds 2-3 pedals, add some rubber feet to it and you're good to go.

That's exactly what i did. The top to one of those Home Depot plastic shelves. I carved out some lines and put my dc adapter in the cavity underneath.cut the plastic legs in the back at an angle and removed the front. It's ugly as heck, but it was free.

This little box is crazy good. I've had so many bits of gear that I end up getting lost in and become really unproductive, this is a breath of fresh air. And yes, who cares what actual amp models or drives or effects pedals it's trying to emulate, just use your ears, find what you like and save it. Thank you Line 6!

Thanks for all your Line 6 Express and Bose SP1+ tutorials! Great help. I loaded Logic onto my iPad and tried some recordings with Livestream. So far everything good, but if I just use one input, say input one wireless and Pod Express as insert. My issue is everything gets recorded! Ahhh…. Metronome, drums….for some reason cannot make discreet tracks where I only hear drums, and no metronome being recorded. Any thoughts?

The Bose S1 Pro+ USB-C outputs everything fed into it so there's no way to isolate the metronome. Disable the metronome in Logic and just a a 1 bar/4 click count in at the start of the track as a cue.

Does Playing LINE 6 POD make anyone else really happy? LINE 6 POD is quickly becoming my favorite pedal. It's just so beautiful and sexy. Practically free and the second you drop her on the board that chill ass mofo gives you a Rich Dark Gushing Robust tone.. And you also get this cute little 1/1 feedback response usually too harmless to be forgotten. But more than that, the Line 6 Pod is just so positively alluring. It comes on the board like "do you want to cast a spell?" and I'm like "yeah Line 6 Pod i do want to cast a spell let's do this shit" and when she attacks she's like "SPELLS ARE FUN" and I'm like "yeah they are SO FUN." She doesn't say some bullshit macho shit like "I will destroy you" she's just like "nah spells are fun and voodoo spooky.” And she looks so happy. I mean this is an inanimate object that literally brought my guitar to life by magic. It understands it's life is a temporary magical gift and the dude is just fucking loving it. I mean just look at her face she’s just so happy and cute as a button. I am literally never sad when Line 6 Pod is on board. IDK if she's gonna ever make it into the pedal HOF or not, but for now she a super dope chill pedal.

When you said turn off the cabs and connect with the fx loop in the amp does that also turn off the amps on the unit or by cabs do you mean speaker simulations in the unit? Yes, you can turn off just the speaker simulation and use the amp models thru your actual amp’s efx return

You can disable the amp/cab simulation and just use the POD Express for effects into your Marshall. But if you want to use it standalone the Bose speaker is your best bet

Can it be set where the external foot switch is used for preset scrolling? So you don’t have to enter preset mode and you can just instantly switch, or can you only do it by pressing the two onboard switches together. If I were to make my own little mini board like this, I would probably pair it with some kind of separate delay pedal and that would probably be it. Maybe a little mini compressor or something too. I don’t think I could get away with how minimal the controls are for just the delay, but everything else seems great. But other than that, this thing looks insanely versatile and could cover so much ground on its own. Absolutely insane. Line6 killed it with this pedal. Just imagine the kinds of things that will be on the market 5 years from now

You probably can, set the ext fs to Preset +/- the Preset option to LOAD (instead of instant) and it should work the way you want it. I have a new FAQ video coming next week and this should be covered

Yes you can disable the amp/cab modeling and use as you described, though Boost might be tricky since the models are basically dirt pedals so can't be used as a clean Level boost for solos.

I have a few questions - can you assign presets to each button? Example - in the dual footswitch, footswitch A is the clean preset, B is the crunch and the "on" button on the unit itself is the is the lead preset. Last question - can you assign a footswitch to be an a/b switch? Example - the "on" button's default is assigned to a preset as a default when not pressed; when pressed again, it switches to a dirty amp.
