Performance and Design of the 2022 Kawasaki Concours 14

The Ninja ZX-14R's power is combined with features that make the Kawasaki Concours 14 ABS the ideal motorcycle for long rides. I was first attracted to this bike by how classy it looks. Then rode it and saw how fast it is and how it kills the corners and handles all kinds of weather, well, this thing just rocks. At roughly half the price of a BMW K1600 and much, much, much more reliable, with a few mods - touring seat, raised and pulled back handlebar mounts, highway pegs, throttle lock, tank bag, tour pack, ripping exhaust - someone like me coming from Harley touring and two Goldwings can it make it into a long distance, high speed, touring canyon carving burn burner. Heated grips, electric windshield, traction control, ABS, tire pressure monitor . . . funnest and most complete bike I've ever owned.

Got the silver one. 2019. I had it uncorked and remapped. Feels like a jet but still carves curves well. Love it!

I Have the '11 how did you uncork it and was it complicated to remap?

@@seatime674 slightly better air filter and full exhaust. I bypassed and removed O2 sensors when remapped. Shoodaben engineering or Guhl for flash. Really makes it sooo much better!!!

Concours do not have cruise control. I have the 2008 and just purchased the 2022 - just this week! No cruise control… but who cares about cruise control when you can vrooom vroooooom! ;). Hahaha - I love this motorcycle! I love my Connie!

I bought my 2008 Concours with 26,000kms in 2020 and has now 61,000kms. I just noticed I have no idea how I got 35,000 in two years!!! There is just one explanation: you don’t notice the kms and just go an go and go. Only oil changes and shaft oil changes and nothing else can other than tires. I love it so much that, I just purchased the one of last 2022 Concours 14 in all British Columbia, Canada. - I have been looking for one for 6 months and undecided if I should…. And the real reason is - I should. Still not sure if I will sell my 2008 or keep it just because I can and because I LOVE THEM. Here is a video of my many tours in my dear 2008 concours. The Motorcycle Cruise Control unit is specifically designed for Kawasaki 1400GTR Concours (from 2010) and will only fit 2010 and later model years. It is possible that someone might have been referring to an older model year that did not have cruise control. However, the 2022 Kawasaki Concours 14 ABS does have cruise control. Not at all. Simplicity is excellent... It gives you all the information you need plus the twin analogue clocks are far nicer than digital read outs.

Go ride a BMW. It's got all the electronics you need. This keeps everything simple without the hassle of electronics.

100%. It is pretty good as is in the electronics department. I do have a throttle lock though. No cruise on it. I like my tachs as they are.
