Did you forget your original impact driver came in a performance tool package?

Performance Tool (PT) just warranted my T50 socket by email with a pic. Days later a new one was in my mailbox

wow that's awesome. I have a few PT products so it's good to know they honor their warranties.

@@christianbound4972 They have twice for me and way faster than Snap-on. Granted the PT tools were small items (bit socket and a magnetic pickup tool). I like PT tools and will continue to buy them.

Thanks for mentioning Tekiro tools. I've added it to my tool bookmarks.

Used it twice & the bit is still stuck in the tool. How to get that out???

Nice review. I will look for the better version. I have a use for a 1/4". Hex hand impact in a electrical panel.

try to find the japanese 14" Anex impact driver, works way better, especially with the screw removal bits. "Tekiro" is mostly basic chinese 💩 sold in SEA markets as "japanese tools". don't get fooled, nothing japanese at all there. there's some usable to good tools in there but not much. 🙄

Have not owned many Performance Tool branded tools but they definitely do have some cheesy low quality stuff in auto part stores. OEM tools as well.
@kittytrail2 жыл бұрын
as cheesy as the customers want to pay for it. it's not a tool problem, it's a customers price expectation problem. 😑
@jerryjohns12 жыл бұрын
@@kittytrail Probably a little bit of both tbh.
@kittytrail2 жыл бұрын
@@jerryjohns1 nope, OEMs make them to the pricepoint the customer wants by reducing machining time, steel quality, finish, fitting tolerances, etc. even the cardboard weight and number of colours used, type of plastic and tape or stapple(s) for the packaging and all that is taken into account. what the customer shops for in Taiwan is a tool at a certain pricepoint. if they cannot get the tool at the right pricepoint there, they'll go shopping in PRC until they settle for a tool-shaped object that fills the pricepoint requirement first, tool functionality last. get your tools from corps that don't cross that strait from East to West. 😉

@@kittytrail Manufacturers cheap out in aspects at any price range. Both to save themselves money and to fit the customers low cost expectations. So the answer is yes it is two sided not just to fit customer price point and compete in a competitive market where most cut corners. I own expensive tools and some cheaper ones. Corners are cut in many aspects regardless. You're arguing semantics. Also emojis are cringe.
@kittytrail2 жыл бұрын
@@jerryjohns1 sure, sure... 🙄 no point in trying to explain it any further as you clearly don't understand how it works nor do you understand the differences between the OEM market various tiers/levels and what they will accept to do or not for a distributor brand(ie, a tool brand without any industrial capacity whatsoever) before asking them politely to bring their business elsewhere and say, an established tool manufacturer that tries to not put its name, reputation and warranty costs at stake by cutting corners which is not the same as reducing production costs. you say that tool manufacturers are cutting corners to save cost, fine, believe that even if it would mean those tools would be full of defects and would hinder their reputation in a very competitive market where lots of others brands vie for their customers dollars/euros/yen/swiss francs/whatever. anyway, have a nice day and keep dreaming you know what you're talking qbout. 😘 cringe or not, i'll keep on using them! 🥳

Hello again Catus Maximus and Tiny Thank you for another Great Video 👍 I think, I would rather use a manual impact wrench. Again thank you 😊

I bought my PT version before you video of the real one. I must admit that it is a cheesy tool that has loosened maybe 3 fasteners in probably 40 attempts. I sheared the tip off of the flat blade bit. I have better solutions than this tool therefore it is relegated to standby backup #4 for when nothing else has worked. Not being a star there, I must admit

those LR symbols on tools are so ambiguous they're pointless
