Great job, guys.the only way a student is going to bring these drills to the range , course whatever, is if we understand what's being taught to us, and you guys are the real deal man, know one breaks down instructional golf better then Eric, I know by the end of the video I will know exactly what was being taught without a doubt, so good, so on piont. love it.

Lately, I’m having a lot of driver and fairway wood success using a “drag the club” after the chest on my takeaway feel.

The movement of the left arm above the pec and the right elbow gives me a really understandable way to construct my swing

Integrating this technique with imagining throwing a ball sidearm or skipping a stone should really help getting your sequence right, as to throw you would step forward first, which would correspond to moving your hips and weight forward first. Can't wait to try it out.

I fought and inside takeaway for a while finally fixed that fixed my swing path and contact but wasn’t hitting the ball far for my speed. Turns out I wasn’t rotating enough and lacked hand depth. After JTs video with Micah I started on these concepts and man swings feeling dialed! Hitting with so much more power. And consistency. Does JT have an online school anywhere?

Now I have to do all this without lifting my head and topping the ball
@brianschultz73206 ай бұрын
Your head will move a bit in the golf swing naturally. Don’t try to hold it in place. It is an athletic motion. When you throw a ball, do you think abt keeping your head still? Obviously if you are jerking your head all over the place that’s a whole different story.

Ha naw dawg. It's not your head that's lifting. It's just you not staying in your posture. Keep that chest down

JT great on the back swing NOW where is the downswing sequence etc. with JT ?

So on the downswing are we thinking more throwing the right arm through the swing, or is this more of dropping the arms and rotating the body?
@PerformanceGolfZone4 ай бұрын
Depends on the player but if you do the backswing pieces it should be a whole heck of a lot easier!

If I have plenty of distance, but miss both left and right.... would you say A shorter backswing is smart to be more accurate? I can hit it 260-275 carry... but thats only when I do hit it straight. I'm usually smack dab in the middle of the fairway or I'm OB left or right.

COULD be....man its tough to say. Really need to see your swing to see whats causing that to see what we would need to fix! Could be several things

Been trying to apply these ideas. Can apply to driver, but fairway and irons are difficult for me to implement. Driver does go far, tracked one at 366.

Trail arm depth is the key to all of this, get the depth and the sternum and hips turn automatically.

Does tightness of grip hinder the generation of power? The debate is not does swinging back farther help speed and distance-the debate is doe you maximize distance with your hands/forearms release or with dead hands and body turn?
