Oh f ya bud! Fellow Minnesotan here, just got my 2017 c7 grand sport last november, put a few grand into it and its a blast! Came from a 2010 Camaro SS, doesn't ride as smoothly but the grip and feeling of how the suspension is - its crazy. C7 any trim has been a dream of mine since it came into existence

From MN here too! Just bought my C7 2018 last December 2023 and I love everything about it!! It’s so much fun and comfortable to drive. It would be nice to hear some recommendations from anyone to get a little more power for a little more added fun!

Depends on your budget! Best bang for your buck on a LS/LT will always be cam, headers and a tune!

Minnesotan here also. I have a 14 C7 Corvette Z51. M7, ECS supercharger,kooks long tube headers, catless X pipe, Billy Boat Fusion Axel back. 93mm throttle body, throttle controller, tuned. Velocity Yellow, black stripes, competition seats. You should have raced that C5 with my car. 😉

I track my 520hp c7 grand sport (auto) and I do want more power, but the z06 just feels too unpredictable and I feel I have to have much more focus to only slightly improve the laptime. It's much easier to make mistakes in that car, but the grand sport won't murder you (too hard) if you go a touch too early on throttle.

Outstanding! What brake pads did you use? Mine throw dust over wheels and car from front to back after 5 minutes of driving.

Not true dude, C5s are comfortable especially without runcrap tires. Talking about base C5, not C5 Z06.

You are correct. Was not thinking about the base C5. Used to Z06s as that’s pretty much all I’m ever in.

Hey Bud nice job on your video. I agree with you 100%. I owned an 03 C5 and when I bought my C7 I thought it was lacking the roudyness of a cammed C5-C6. After owning it for three years I would like to add a C6 Zr1 to my garage or a cammed C6 Z06. (I'm currently 62) 😊

The ftype is actually rated as one of the most reliable sports cars ever built if you look into it. Never had a single issue with either one of the ones we have had in the garage!

@@PerformanceOnWheels you are the first person to report that. I was seriously looking into them because the bang for the buck is insane - but video after video was showing all these weird issues with them. I’ve already got a 90s mustang with its own set of issues I didn’t see the sense in having a car payment with the same problems haha. The c7 however at the same price point but cheaper to maintenance and equal in all other points (maybe a touch less luxury) is a no brainer. I found your video watching grand sport reviews which pretty much settled me on one. The only thing I think they whiffed with this car was not using a ZF8 transmission. I kind of didn’t want another manual so I could keep up with all my dual clutch buddies but the 8 speed in these isn’t the best. Oh well can’t be THAT perfect.
