One month and nearly 3,000 miles into our 2024 Lincoln Nautilus Reserve II Hybrid (Red Carpet Metallic exterior, Black Onyx/Grey interior) and we are thoroughly impressed with this vehicle. Our overall mpg is 30 and at one point after driving 51 miles, we got 50 mpg with 22 miles on electric (with some downhill driving). Upon filling up during a long road trip, the estimated mileage was 606 miles from our 20 gallon tank. The self-driving BlueCruise system was outstanding while changing lanes, keeping us safe in traffic and allowing the driver to relax somewhat (it does quickly remind you to keep your eyes on the road, or turns off). The multiple Drive Modes totally changes the character from compliant and soft in Conserve, to sporty and responsive in Excite and others. The dash is simply amazing with all the options available. The interior is incredibly quiet. There are not any two row seat SUVs that can match the quality, performance, cargo space and value of this vehicle (not Mercedes, Lexus, BMW, or Audi...had them all). I totally agree with Performance On Wheels...you get a lot of car in the base model.

I'd much prefer all the extras in a loaded black label. Definitely worth it to me. I would always be wishing I had this or that feature. Sounds like the dealership got a ton a reserves in and needs to sell them with all the overblown salesman speak in this video.

I’m not in sales, nor is my dad and I trying to sell them at all. Just making videos like we love to do. Just don’t see the point in spending 25 grand more for some speakers and nicer leather. We actually have more black labels at our store than reserves at the moment.

I have a Reserve III Hybrid. The hybrid is absolutely the only way to go. The power is close to that of the V6 from previous years but without the peaky torque band and sloppy shifts from the 8 speed trans. IT feels more muscular when actually driven. As for price I agree.. it gets steep REALLY fast. I just HAD to have the 28 speaker system and massage seats. I still don't regret it but I took a big hit in the wallet. I couldn't justify another 10K+ for a black label though.

I sat in one yesterday. No problem seeing the speedo! Without driving one, and just going by specs and appearance, it looks like an amazing SUV! The Reserve 1 hybrid trim looks like an incredible value! But unfortunately the roofline is too low for me; I'd have to duck getting in and out. And the dead pedal is too small for a mens size 11 US.

I've watched a ton of videos on this vehicle and this by far was one of the best reviews - and only review I've seen comparing a base-level Reserve to a Black Label (so far). I'm getting the base-level Reserve trim. It should arrive any day now. I pre-ordered months ago. I'm buying a car I haven't seen so I need to rely on all these videos to get the info I'm looking for. The one thing I just found out in your video was the ambient lighting doesn't work on the back doors, yet there still seems to be lighting in the backdoor pockets and floor under both front seats. I find that odd the ones at the top of the door wouldn't work. I could see it not working like the front light bar in the Premier trim, but not Reserve. And does this trim have those puddle lights that illuminate from the side mirrors or is that a Black Label thing? I believe the door handles should light up at night but no one ever touches on those features. Probably because most reviews are done during the day. In another video I found out the center counsel doesn't have the digital scent feature at all. Even though it's an upgrade feature, people thought it just wouldn't come with cartridges, and if you want, can buy them afterwards. That's not the case. I also just recently found out the windshield wiper fluid comes out of the wiper blades themselves to give you an even coating a fluid across the windshield. It's those details is what I'm looking for. And that color on camera looks more Silver Radiance than Lustrous Grey. Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I learned more about this vehicle. Really excited to drive it! Keep up the great work and love the father/son dynamic.

I'm surprised to hear you say that the steering wheel obstructs the view of the speedo. That seems like a dealbreaker. How is the audio in the Reserve I?
@jacyedwards44528 ай бұрын
It depends on your required seating position/Height. I found that you have to set the wheel height a little closer to your legs than a typical car and its fine. Just an inch makes all the difference. Or you can move the wheel towards the dash a little more and it is fine.

Looks nice. I guess they have their luxury niche and would fit into smaller places, but I'd rather buy an F150 for the same price. Tons more room especially for the rear passengers, rides great, tows, and hauls and is safer in a crash.

Lincoln has been a strange brand for the last 20+ years. Historically their demographic is always been older retired individuals who were domestic loyal and cross shopping Cadillac but I’m not really sure who’s shopping this vehicle? I guess you could say someone looking at Lexus RX 350 an Acura MDX possibly an RR or just someone looking at a Ford Explorer who is looking at, maybe a bit more of luxurious option?
@PerformanceOnWheels8 ай бұрын
Remember the explore and aviator are sister cars. You are right with the demographic. I believe Lincoln is going after some of the market on x3 and GLC buyers, at least that is the hope.
@chynacash31388 ай бұрын
I agree - I don't think Lincoln has produced anything in recent years that Japanese or German luxury brand buyers would cross-shop besides maybe the current Navigator - This new Nautilus definitely looks like a strong attempt from Lincoln to change that though - I've seen very little marketing for it surprisingly though and what I have seen is pretty weak, Ford needs to increase the advertising budget to get these noticed more.

More power to those who can afford it, but I am not buying a 60k car. And only 30mpg for a hybrid? I can spend 30k less and be just as satisfied (and I wouldn't do that either). Used car for half that at most. But I will say it does look like a nice car.

I find it ironic you complain about the price of the Black Label being near $80,000 yet compare this Reserve I to Mercedes and BMW that start at $80,000 and contain more features.
@PerformanceOnWheels8 ай бұрын
A comparable mercedes or BMW does not start at $80k. I would say without hesitation, I would buy a $80k BMW or Mercedes over a $80k Lincoln. That is mostly because of the powertrain options you would experience at that price point feom the Germans.
@jeffreyreed58958 ай бұрын
That's fine but getting the Black Label also comes with perks you will never get with Mercedes or BMW such as 4 year/50,000 premium maintenance services. That all costs extra with the German vehicles. @@PerformanceOnWheels

Rusting, I've asked Lincoln to correct the problem. And they refused, I believe the rotors are made of inferior material. It could tear up the brake pads, especially if salt from the roads get on these rotors.It's bad enough if you wash the car.Or it s it's out or it rains.The rust is just unbelievable on the rotors
