Lee Soo Man, the founder of SM Entertainment is the pioneer of kpop training system so yes, they have the BEST TRAINING SYSTEM. It is also known to the fans of SM groups that even if you're not really skilled, SM got it for you. They will teach you and polished you to the level people wouldn't believe you just learned recently. A popular example of course is Taeyong from NCT who originally didn't know how to dance then turns out to be one of kpop's most skilled dancers. Yes, SM Entertainment, the blueprint of KPOP.

Don’t know if you’ve heard about it Jeff but SM has introduced this thing called SMCU which explains the teasers we’ve been getting in the end of One, Make a Wish and now Black Mamba. It seems as if they’re doing a storyline similar to the Marvel Cinematic Universe with their groups and artists. So the person in the end was actually BoA who is having q comeback in December to celebrate her 20th anniversary. I saw a lot of people thinking it was a new member or one of the aespa members which just tells you how that woman never ages! She looks etheral!

@@yumixiaos sr rookies were the predebut trainees that were revealed to the public way back. Most nct members were rookies prior to debuting. There werecseveral girls back then but they left one by one as their debut did not happen. Ningning waited for a really long time

But unfortunately the girls didnt have much contents to show off their talents unlike sm rookies boys (sm rookies boys even have had showcase in bangkok prior to their debut in nct). The only sm rookies girls who finally debut is red velvet (except Joy) and ningning of aespa. If you know Xu Yiyang, who is an artist under ex-EXO Huang Zitao's management, she's also was part of sm rookies girls but failed to debut in sm. Yiyang and Ningning were introduced in same timearound 2014 or 2015 as i remember.

@@yumixiaos yes. They focused on pre nct members and kind of died down in 2018. NewKidd member Hansol was an SM rookoe, for undisclosed reason, he left SM and auditioned for the Unit. Most girls left either because even after years of training, they did not make thr cut, or they wanted to be somewhere else in their career Most rookies starter at 12 or 13 years of age like Mark Lee and the rest of 7Dream NCT except for Chenle who was already a child star and a skilled vocalist in China prior to debut.

Honestly, I'm relieved that the AI thing is more for marketing and merchandising than for the music part. That's a good thing I think. I did not like the song that much at first, but the more I listen to it, the more I like it ! And for the rapping Giselle was very promising in her teaser, so I think the next tilte track will allow her to shine more ! Vocals of course do not disappointing, and I look forward th dance practice too ! And let's appreciate how this MV was gorgeous and well-produced ! As you said, what a debut !

SM is honestly no joke when it comes to training their artists. That’s why I don’t like it when people say “They’re only famous because they came from the Big 3 (I honestly am confused what people call Big3 now but Imma still say SM, JYP and YG cuz that’s what I grew up into.)” I can’t say much for JYP and YG because I’ve only been an SM stan, but for where SM artists are concerned, they deserve all the fame because they definitely worked hard for it and saying “they’re just from the Big 3” is like discrediting the hardships they have to pass to debut.

Some people theorize that this is more of a concept song than anything (similar to EXO MAMA) because of the amount of references to their avatars. I think that makes sense, but also I just like the song and for some reason lots of people are disappointed 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think it's because some people (including me) had really high expectations for a debut song. The song isn't bad but it's pretty generic and not really memorable as a debut song (EXOs MAMA and Red Velvets Happiness are examples of memorable debut songs imo). Everyone has their own preferences tho!

Ningning is the name of the girl you mentioned as the "child" of Chungha and Jennie. She's part of the OG SM Rookies and she's a '02 liner. She's the maknae of the group and the Chinese member. Like Chenle, she also had a music background back in China (she has participated in singing shows there). I am so happy that Ningning has finally debuted. It's kinda sad to see her without the other og girl sm rookies but I'm also looking forward to aespa's performances.

I'm seriously just obsessed with the dance and am SO excited to see the full one on stage or dance practice!! The line distribution is also incredibly fair which doesn't happen very often especially for a debut, and ofcourse the MV and song? INSANE. The girls are so talented aswell, all of them stood out to me. There already are some haters cause of the Avatars that the girls have, but hopefully they won't see those and just get overwhelmed with the new fans and how great they are! Seriously hope they get a win, cause this song is addictive and imo the best SM debut, they put a LOT into this debut, and it's the first time I've fallen in love with an SM group immediately from day 1. SM groups always had this storyline and connected every comeback and now SM has announced the start of SMCU (SM Cinematic Universe i guess?). It will begin with Aespa and continue through groups like EXO, RED VELVET, NCT etc. While the stories/universe of each groups will unfold individually they will somehow intertwine and connect with each other to create new stories. Which is why we can see aespa's logo on superm's 'One' mv, the train scene in nct u's 'MAW' ending, and now BoA at the end of aespa's 'black mamba' ending.

There are reports they'll have 7 members but no more than that, they aren't going to repeat NCT's concept, they're far too creative for that. Plus considering the AI concept it would be too difficult for SM & extremely costly for them to make AI versions of so many people. I like them as four to be honest but will still support if they end up becoming 7.

But I really like the part of the lyrics that translates, "I'm the Aespa, there can't be two", which is open to interpretation if the Aespa girls are competing with their alters/avatars? SM held back in showing all of their cards with Aespa. Winter's skills weren't shown in the teasers unlike the other 3 and in result we were very surprised to hear her beautiful voice in this mv. The same tactics go as well with Giselle, wherein she's the main rapper yet SM gave her vocal parts. Comparing to what Giselle showed on her teaser, this one is more on the vocals. A classic SM strategy. This would keep us on the edge of our seats to wait and expect banger songs in the future.

I really liked the song but I won't say that it was super impressive. For the MV, the visuals were really stunning and the choreo looks amazing, the leg dance really remind me of SNSD's The Boys from 2011. Overall I really liked them and their vocals are on point!! Well u should Stan SM idol esp girlgrps like RV and aespa they are creepy esp RV in MV but when you try to look their album as in whole album their whole b-sides songs are amazing esp when u Stan a true vocals and those genra, runs, flows, everything that quality of music are in their girl grps ....now that aespa is added to their family sure album songs is so great coz their vocals is lit. Oke thing about what i really like about this group is THE SYNCHRONIZATION! Their move are in sync! And that's so satsifying to watch. That's why your reaction is so anticipated Jeff haha But i have to disagree about the AI concept. It's SM, hahaha. SM always make something new, and now it's Aespa with Avatar concept. What i always liked about SM's debut songs is the lyrics. Black Mamba is an introduction to their concept, previously Red Velvet debuted with Happiness and the lyrics have a great meaning to it too. NCT's 7th sense and Without You, both are amazing songs too. The very iconic Into The New World by SNSD also has a very inspiring lyrics! I loved the debut!

I loved the mv and the choreography but I didn’t like the song I also felt like it didn’t sound like Sm at all and more like a mix of things that has already been done by other groups I am a bit disappointed. But since Sm is known to make groups that aren’t fully appreciated by the gp at the start and then become big groups I can’t wait to see what awaits them next especially since the girls are so pretty and talented.

SM has the best artist periodt. they have the best training system in kpop so no wonder all of their artist can sing , dance and rap like they're ready to debut with skill not just with the visual we can see with dancer/rapper in a group they can sing too , so they don't have any excuse like 'they're not in vocal position so it's okay if they can't sing' they have skill and visual so it's perfect. it's not just about "a big agency" but it's also about TALENT.
