Dielectric grease should not be applied between electric contact components. It’s an insulator when it’s applied like this your system now has to over come the insulation of the grease. Apply it to the boots and rubber or plastic insulation and it’s great for preventing corrosion and unwanted arcs. The electricity wants to flow metal to metal through the path of least resistance. Dry clean contact points with grease only on insulators.

I have a 98 jeep 4.0 jx and had some minor power loss and regained after 3 or so seconds, a week went by and would have power issues just like you said it would lurch forward at stops and then stall out, now it just won't start, I've taken the cap off, and same thing with cylinder 2 it's all corroded and I've replaced the cps, still won't start
