Hi Maria ❤ I agree niche is not the same anymore. My intuition is that many brands won’t be here in 15 years. Personally I try to trust my nose and avoid cash flow machines whenever I can recognize one. 😊

Great video! Don’t get me started with this topic of environmental preservation bs or global warming bs for that matter. I’m aware about of all the topics you’ve mentioned for couple years now, and I don’t understand why it isn’t talked about more often. I’m sick and tired of these new releases without no artistry whatsoever. I’m a Angel lover, and what L’Oréal did for the Angel elixir was an insult and a murder of the core of that fragrance which was remove the chocolate style Patchuli that I adored. I have one last bottle from 2010 pre L’Oréal that I spritz only twice and I smell all day. Yesterday I used my last bottle of Hermes Caleche soie parfum from 2000, I could smell me until 9 pm. You can smell the artistry in so many old formulations that I resitate to buy flankers or new formulations. I’ve been so disappointed with the fragrance community hyping perfumes that smells almost the same from every brand, making it unisex to fit in everybody, I say no, I’m a woman and I’d appreciate a good chypre, a good floral oriental, a good incense, woody and etc.

For me it was the opposite post initial infection and resultant anosmia. Once my receptors began to recover, they became significantly more sensitive to piercing aromachemicals that I literally didn't even notice before. Certainly added to my previous jaded disillusionment. 😂 But I'm on board for more people speaking their minds! 💡

The show was huge. With all the panels I was involved with, I maybe got to 20 stands (out of 360!) There were a lot of exhibiting brands from the Middle East and we are starting to have more from Asia. Some of the conferences were really interesting. Take a look at the Sacred Woods if you enjoy ingredients. I agree we need to have a fresh perspective and to find more interesting topics. Check out the one I did on Edu-tainment. the greenwashing by the brands is absurd. ofc they care about the environment with their plastic-free packaging whilst promoting hyperconsumption and still doing animal testing. it's literally nothing but justifying cheaper packaging and formulations and making the consumers feel less guilty about buying their products.

Thanks to your video, I am learning to put my emotions about perfumes aside and look at perfumery world from a different (unusual) angle. Fully agree that some of the trends are fake but are so much pushed to make consumers believe what they "really need". Unfortunately, perfumes lose their uniqueness and value lastly. This is so sad as I am a true perfume lover. I wonder how we can keep our interest and love in perfumes when the majority of new launches simply disappoints.
