A couple people didn't vote for her because of their preexisting relationship, and there were a couple of votes she probably could have done more to snatch (JT, Colby) but the jury was much more complimentary of her than people remember. Rupert and Courtney were very nice to her and likely would have voted for her, they just had a stronger preexisting relationship with Sandra. It really showed Brenda's true mean girl self and she's a shitty person for lettin' Dawn then have to face a backlash of fans attackin' her for, what, votin' out a big threat in a game for boo-koos amount of money? I do think it's fucked up that Brenda made Dawn do that if she already knew she wasn't voting for her, but I saw her 'attack' at Dawn more as a test to Dawn's character. Bc Dawn said she was just manipulating Brenda and wouldnt've actually quit if she couldn't find her teeth. And Brenda wanted her to prove it. So while it was probably too far, I don't think Brenda is completely in the wrong. I mean she was kind of a big threat to win before she was blindsided, and I think she was deservedly bitter and pissed that she was voted off by one of her closest friends not long after she told her that she was the only reason they were still there.

I find that one major issue with jury voting that new era viewers fail to acknowledge is the fact that the new era jury members pretend that they base their votes professionally. It is good that the jury members at the end in recent seasons are asking the finalists to explain every aspect of their game (social, strategic, and physical). But the truth is many people still have their biases based on how they felt about their elimination and/or blindside. • Romeo’s arguing with Hai at the final tribal (despite Hai saying he appreciated the discussion) seemed to solidify that at least for Hai that he lost a jury vote. • I also read somewhere that in season 43 that Karla may have based her jury vote personally when Cassidy voted her out (although I was happy that Gabler won). • Season 44 was fun to watch. It would’ve been neat to see Carolyn win since she gave it her all strategically with her alliances and idol plays; but considering how random she was socially, she wouldn’t stand a chance against Yam Yam. It honestly does not matter how much production stresses that the jury should vote based on gameplay alone. When it comes down to it, there will still be people that vote based on how they feel.

For me, Dawn had one of the WORST final tribals ever. Her final tribal for me was a lot like Sugar’s in Gabon. She was burning already scorched earth. From the looks of it, she had Malcolm and Reynold pretty strongly going in and they voted for Cochran anyways. The teeth thing with Brenda wasn’t the fact that she did it, it was the fact that it took so long. All she had to say get the respect was “no, I woulda stayed. Here’s my teeth”. Instead she fought and antagonized.

I feel like Brenda could have been the next Elizabeth (America’s sweetheart archetype) but then she bullied Dawn into taking her teeth out and lost a lot of goodwill.

idk she was pretty un-america's sweetheart on her first season

Parvati not winning season 20 is for me the biggest let down of all Survivor seasons.

I was VERY chocked back then. I keep thinking how it might have played out in the modern era or if her and Amanda did not have some bad blood there. I think she would have better odds because people would be more open-minded to not see her as Russel's girl. Candice said she regretted not voting for Parv

I hope Hannah is in the top 10, if Adam didn't have. you know. that. (which nothing against him, he fully deserved his win) I really thought her answers rivalled his own at that FTC

I strongly disagree with Dawn. She had a terrible Final Tribal Council performance, though the damage was mostly done already beforehand. She got torched by over half of the jury (Reynold, Eddie, Phillip, Brenda and Erik) and didn't really impress anyone. I also think Gavin did terribly, as he had absolutely zero understanding of what his jury actually wanted. Granted, his game was weak going in. Remember, the point of Final Tribal Council isn't to impress people watching on TV. It's to convince your particular jurors to vote for you.
