Fun fact: The tides do not go "in and out" for the reason most people think. The moon is pulling on the oceans so the bulge is always on one side of the earth. When the earth rotates, it rotates through the bulge, causing high and low tide.

Blue Moon Spear being able to autocast every spell book is really useful. I found it great for Barraging some of my slayer tasks as it's by far the easiest option for autocasting that gives damage, and then it can also let you use Demonbane spells for Tormented Demons until you your first synapse for a Scorching Bow

Good instruction. Straight to the point information.👌✅ For myself; after a few tries to get a feel for the mechanics of BloodMoon. It became as easy and BlueMoon. I only eat 3-5 pieces of food during either. Eclipse Moon is much more annoying and painstaking during my runs. I end up eating most of my inventory, even with +280 slash def. 😢

I believe the sound queue from the blood falling coincides with when you want to step back on the Jaguars. As soon as the do-do-do-do-do finishes, step back, and it'll work perfectly every time (unless you get the bug).

CHally is awesome spec to use right before phasing! I've hit 110s here pretty often on blue moon. Great special attack if you're in a position where you need a massive hit to finish them off right before next phase

I had the same general idea about this when I started my Ironman this September. I went to do a hard grind for smithing and was going to get the zombie axe, but along the way I pivoted to the colossal blade which is also a nice option for eclipse specifically.

Colossal Sword from Giant's Foundry is a really good, really easy to get weapon for Eclipse's clicker phase. It gets +10 max hit from the passive and its attack cd gets reset constantly during it

Guthans is still useful for saving on food and prayer pots when doing garg tasks. Other than that 1 task all sets at barrows are quite useless. Unless you want dharoks for killing some giant mole.

When I'm starting a fresh run I catch fish but only like 2-3 so I can do Eclipse as quick as I can without backtracking, then it spits me out in the lizard spot after eclipse dies and I top off on lizards there. I also always bring 4 vials of water with me and a rope to save a slight amount of prep time.

You didn't miss it. He never used a thrall to show it sadly. How it works though, is that whenever you can't damage a moon, but it's still visible, you cast ghostly grasp (it's the cheapest one) on the moon/boss. Thralls only damage stuff you are attacking, so since you aren't attacking for a while, it will just stand around until you attack again. You can cast ghostly grasp at the boss even though it doesnt do damage, just so that the thrall can keep on dealing damage. Only phases I can see it's viable is during blue moon tornado, and eclipse when walking the shield. Does it do much? Not really, but it is an optimization if you really want to squeeze a bit more damage out of thralls. Personally I don't see the big benefit to using it here, especially as an iron. Fights are decently quick anyways, and many phases it can't attack at all. Thx for coming to my Ted Talk.. ^^

The wiki DPS calculator will work, it should beat it slightly. For clones its good, but you want your spec for Bloodmoon

You want strength about 10 levels higher always, and maxed first! More damage you do, the more exp you get, and it levels everything else faster

Hello Gnomonkey, just found this vid after struggling with Bloodmoon since a long time, and was very excited to try the method out. I just tried the step under method, and maybe Im wrong? But it seems that it no longer works properly? Because every time I do it now the "outside of the moon circle" dmg counter remembers my time outside, so every step under will ramp up the dmg. I can dodge the heal, yes, but it results in me at some point taking 16 dmg every time I step under it. Is this a skill issue? What could I be doing wrong? Or would this be patched or sth?

It ramps up every other time you do it, at 16 it isn't worth doing step unders anymore. If you watch for the blood animation from your character and only step under when you see it, you can avoid stepping under a lot of the time and prevent ramp up.

How do I deal with the ramping damage from step-unders at bloodmoon? If I do them from 100% hp, they will start smacking me for 16's at like 1/3th of the boss' hp. It's such a lottery for me. Am I simply lacking DPS? 65atk/80str, using zombie axe + dragon sq as i only have barrows armor / no legs. I take too much hits with sulphur blades I feel like.

If you start taking 16s, then you stop doing the step unders. Your dps wasn't enough and you fight as normal
