Quick correction! Immunoglobulin E (IgE) are antibodies produced by the immune system (plasma cells specifically) and they bind to the surface of mast cells. When an allergen interacts with its specific IgE, that mast cell degranulates in response.

You're welcome! TIMP stands for Tissue Inhibitor of MetalloProteinases so they inhibit matrix metalloproteinases that are important in tissue remodeling.
