You NEED to do Satellites - I would say it's their magnum opus, combining amazing atmosphere, and the music flows so seamlessly.

Stranger Things should definitely be the next one! But do the live version where they play in a guitar center! And of course Satellites! This is Spencer (the vocalist) in his absolute peak!

My favorite band. This song is on the more heavy side but Periphery have songs ranging from grindcore to pure pop ballads. They are literally able to do everything.
@DutchmanX693 жыл бұрын
wait they have a grindcore song? like full on Cattle Decapitation mode?

@@DutchmanX69 Not full on Cattle decap, but songs like Mk Ultra and CHVRCH BVRNER get pretty damn close sound wise.

@@KurisuOkami I don't want to be that guy, but they have nothing close to Grindcore, which is an ultrafast branch of Hardcore Punk incorporating elements of Death Metal. Those songs you mentioned are more close to Mathcore, specifically bands like The Dillinger Escape Plan. Check out the songs Prancer and When I Lost My Bet and you'll see the similarities (Misha is a big DEP fan).

Y’all would absolutely love satellites. That is the most epic song in Spencer’s (vocalist) catalogue. He sings almost completely clean in that song and it showcases the insane range this guy has on those pipes.

Listens to one of the heaviest songs in the entire genre. 'they're cute!' 😂

been enjoying your choices, ladies. When you get into this band, you're gonna be blown away by Spencer's singing. He's one of the best in the biz. Satellites is actually a perfect juxtaposition to this one. Keep up the good work!

Truth to that. Reptile looked boring because of it’s length but I never realized I just listened to all of it.

Yeah Blood eagle is actually one of their more brutal songs.. but they have a wide array of sound (Heavy Metal core to Electronic).. "Marigold" would be a good mid range song.. or the softer side with "Satellites" or "Lune"! but Reptile showcases pretty much all their sides in one song (16 min long).. you won't be disappointed in any song you choose tbh!! Amazing musicians with thematic style lyrics.. great rabbit hole to explore!!!

Pioneers of Djent absolutely. Great band and great reaction. But Djent was invented by Meshuggah.. but.. funnily Meshuggah, being the founding fathers of djent, never say they play djent.. they call it extreme experimental metal.. anyway blood eagle, a viking way of killing soneone.. not in the nicest way so if someone was killed that way they really pissed someone off 😂

Periphery IV is probably their best album overall but I don't think it's the best introduction to the band. Blood Eagle is super heavy...Reptile is A LOT, and Satellites is, to me, like eating a fancy chocolate cake before dinner. I think it's good to get more familiar with a band before hearing some of their best songs. Then again, this doesn't make a whole lot of sense because so many other songs are great in their own ways. I dunno, check out Stranger Things.
