Spencer might be an acquired taste but reptile just gives him so much space to show us his insane range. There's a neat interview where he explains his technique. Kind of what i like about him, me having somewhat of a nasal voice and not being a naturally gifted singer. He puts so much effort into it and makes it work. It's pretty inspiring!

Periphery has many styles. 1 djent/ polyrythmic guitar 2. Mark riffs/ noodly guitar riffs. 3. Heavy tracks death metal/ blackened vocals and blasts 4. Beautiful and orchestral.

Spencer is my favorite vocalist. He has an awesome range and he is great at doing interesting vocal lines. Reptile and Satellites are great ones. They are awesome live and have started posting dates for a tour.

I love this song! So many elements, such an atmosphere, dynamic, heavy and melodic song at the same time. Mark's solo is crazy good! Periphery have way too many good songs to suggest. Wax Wings, Satellites, Reptile, Absolomb, Stranger Things, Pale Aura, Flatline, Erised, Facepalm Mute, Have A Blast, Ragnarok, Luck As A Constant, It's Only Smiles, Sintient Glow, Thanks Nobuo, Dying Star and it just continues. A very long list of so many great songs. Periphery is really something else! I love their energy and how much fun they have together, on stage and on the outside. They're spreading so much joy and happiness! ❤

I totally understand why you guys have said this about the vocals. It's the unexpectedness of it, the fact that this is your first listen. You can't really predict when Spencer is going to use his more "pop" delivery. Metalheads don't really want a pop sound in their music, so the reaction is normal. You just have to keep listening. After Reptile I don't think you'll question Spencer's choices. In the meantime, Stranger Things is what I want you guys to check out. It's from the same album as this song, and it's another incredible combination of groove, heaviness, and vocals.
