People always complain about how simple the guitar is in these kinds of songs. In different genres of music different instruments have more importance in the songs. These kinds of songs are drum orientated and the guitar follows the drum kick line for the most part to make this kind of metal sound more pumpy and deep.

I love how everyone here is arguing about whether this is Djent or not.... Keep in mind, Djent is a sound. Now that bands are focusing on writing music based around that sound, Djent can be considered a sub-genre of Metal. Periphery uses Djent chords in a lot of their songs, so yes, they are Djent. Anyone who says otherwise knows NOTHING about this style of music.

Why is AA being brought up in a Periphery video? Talk about how awesome Periphery is, not about what genre AA is. If you have to know, they're metalcore, which is a subgenre of metal. They're not like Behemoth, which is death metal, another subgenre. They're different subgenres, but metal is quite a diverse genre. Anyway, just listen to this song and enjoy it.
