Honestly bewildered as to the writing thought process behind that riff, between the quick fallbacks into djenty chug, back to pushing the chord progression, the phrasing and octave choice, the 4-5 different dissonant ring outs that fit perfectly. Literal god riff and even to this day im blown away.

Alex Khouri don't know if you're still wondering about this, but Ragnarok was played on a 7 with the lowest string tuned to F#. Ji's the only song on PII that uses 8 strings.

I think Misha said that he couldn't justify using an 8 string unless he was using all 8 strings. If it's playable on a 7 he'd rather do that, and I can kinda see where he's coming from. I'm not really into Juggernaut so I wouldn't know, but from what I hear there's a fair amount of 8 string :)
