This is a great song that features some polyrhythmic patterns and contrasting feels and sections. The opening groove has a kick pattern (3 against 4 polyrhythm) with some really great placed snare stabs that really make that part flow into a really fun groove. There is some big open beats through the second part of this song which I could not help myself really laying into my cymbals.....i like doing that... a lot!!! haha
I also didn't hit everything note for note but tried to stick relatively close to the original part.. After playing Meshuggah's 'The Demon's Name is Surveillance' the day before this, I HAD to add some sextuplets on the feet in this piece as well.... I also like playing sextuplets....
I didn't use triggers, sound replace or alter my original drums in any way other than doing my best to mix and pull a good sound. Hope you all enjoy as much as I have! Feel free to contact me on facebook with any questions (link below).

***** i don't mean to instrude in your life or anything, but hey... I'm sure when you get to 25 you will see some other video and think: i could be closer to that skill it's never too late to discover a new hobby i'm 25, and i aways liked skateboarding. I often thought: yeah but how am I going to learn skating now? I work, I have to pay the house, the car... And i bought the skate i wanted. I use it every single day, and im thankful for the day i bought it. do it man. get some lessons. you will like it im sure. If you don't like it.. quit... you have nothing to lose, and a lot to gain!

I know, right? The other day I was just watching his drum shed video with Eric Moore and I thought to myself "this guy deserves way more subs than he has." It's a shame that he is out-subbed by that Luke Holland hack.
@Kaleteir1
@Kaleteir1 9 жыл бұрын
***** Honestly Luke's really good too, people like CooperDrummer and meytal (no offense to them), are much less talented but just have subs because they play either pop music or have boobs :P Metal, sadly just isn't as popular, it's just par for the course.

***** I just love that Troy goes into the education behind and truly is a master of his craft. Plus I think his skills are far more polished than everyone else's. I respect his song choices and isn't just trying to get views and money. He does it because it's his passion and his life, that's why he has my sub and support!
