I want to thank you for what you did for the lady that lost her home , family memories, fabric and her sewing machine to a house fire. I loved the look on her face when you put that beautiful quilt around her shoulders.!! She looked as if she had won the lottery with the shopping trip. The quilt was something that money can not buy, love friendship. Thank you for the sweet person you are. Have a beautiful week

I love this pattern!! I volunteer at our local hospital and make these for the holidays for the senior citizens in our Acute Care for the Elderly Ward. They love the patriotic ones which I place a balloon weight with a flag attached on it. They truly are a joy to make. I have made hundreds of them.

A lovely addition for the holidays! I absolutely love them and am starting now on Christmas mug rugs. Thank you for your tutorials. They give me the confidence to try things I normally wouldn't. I watch the first one being made but then am a hands-on quilter. Edit: I made these and instead of using a solid back, I used one side as the Thanksgiving "top" and the other side as the Christmas "top". Have a wonderful day!!!

as I was watching this I thought of an idea... when fusing the interfacing or fusible fleece...only fuse the edges....sew all the way around and finish as u show... now slit the back of the unfused area in the middle and turn... ... now u have to be careful to get all nice and flat before you iron it.. but all will be fused in place and no seam to close on the edge

I thought I was losing my mind. I cut out the pieces to make 30 of these mug mats to take with me on vacation. I pieced everyone of the halves together before I sewed them down the middle. Imagine my frustration when they didn't lie nice and flat as they did in your demo. I have since seen comments that I evidently have a MSQ older periwinkle template & that is where the problem lies. Mentioning that in the tutorial might have been nice. I love MSQ and have followed you for years but this definitely was a big goof. Any idea on what I can now do about these 30 mug mats?????

Does it take 6 periwinkle so make a circle? The reason I'm asking is because I'm making a square using 4 periwinkle. I've been measuring and cutting without a periwinkle shape. It would be so much easier to have a form to cut around
