It's not a glow plug system. It's a flame heater and it's used on older direct injection diesels versus glow plugs that are used on indirect injection diesels. It's not usually needed on a well running Perkins with good compression unless it's super cold

@@rickye7738 Indirect injection diesel injectors still go into the top, as the prechamber is in the cylinder head, vs. gasoline indirect injection in which the injector is in the intake port.

Your fuel cutoff to the engine... might be better placed somewhat away from the engine... with a quarter turn ball valve in line.. just in case the fuel line fractures between the cutoff and the engine... so you don't have to lean over an engine surrounded by flames???
