Exactly! And ... the nozzle is the business end of the injector and the cheapest part!

I've been known to fix those too! That's how I ended up with that big ole compressor outside my shop ... has a John Deere diesel in it that stopped running and I went thru the pump! Never been scared to take something apart to see how it works! It wasn't working anyways .. whatcha got to loose!

I figure it's worth it because I can always look back at the vids ... wish I could have video for my entire life cause man I've done some interesting stuff starting back in the sixties when I was a young teenager and built my first hot rod with a 2x4 pine frame and a Simca 4cyl engine tranny and rear end. First drive I went straight over the canal bank into the canal because it wouldn't steer. Good thing the water was only a couple feet deep!

Yup did one on my Backhoe two years ago , all that good Diesel full they sell now days just good for gumming up things . He is a trick I use when looking for a miss fire on injectors , the exhaust manifold will be colder that the rest on that cylinder when it not getting fuel .....course your way you won’t burn your fingers . Is the anything your can’t fix 👍

@@RatRodBobBuilds , I ve got same job to do as you I think , got diesel filling crank case up , smokey engine , hope it's a dribbling injector

@@nhoney10 This machine was fine except only running on 3 cylinders. Yours sounds like an input shaft seal on the injector pump letting diesel into the crank case. But yes if you can pinpoint an injector problem fix that first. Crack open each injector line one at a time while it's running to see if you can find the one that is missing.
