Oh yeah. When I first saw this device I was confused… but in the right hands, it can make sounds I have never heard before.

It’s all about experimenting and delving deeper (beyond the obvious). 😊

I had the chance to play a bit with a Perkons at JustMusic in Berlin. Very good sounding machine. I really like the kick drums you can create with it. But it's not a device for me, the sweet spot for each sound is pretty small, at least for my ears, so every sound I dialed in was very similar to the one I did before that sound. I rather stay with my Jomox Alpha Base. It is not as good for playing live but I can get more sounds out of it that I like.

It certainly has a particular sound, the Perkons is in my opinion a classic in the making.

Respectfully disagree with you there. I don’t find it has a narrow sweet spot. That being said, it has a sound and it’s really not comparable to a classic drum machine. It does so much more.

The sweet spot for a piano is small, too, but people seem to enjoy it.

This is what i wanted since i had my first 808 in the 1990s. But 2 K, no way. At half the price i would probably say i am crazy but wtf get one.

I sold a few things in order to afford it but couldn’t be happier 🙂
