Personally I wish they'd bring the best of 3 format back for the regular splits, even though we still choked at worlds both years we did it I thought we still produced strong looking teams. The single game format seems like it doesn't help anyone other than sponsors.

Lol, teams didn't want to play with doublelift? Teams were lining up to play with him. The dude's been in LCS since Season 1, since the literal inception of competitive tournaments before esports was even a thing. He only didn't get a championship title in 2 of the splits he participated in. He first dominated with CLG, they kicked him and proceeded to go to shit, to a point where they're were even relegated. Then he dominated with TSM, giving them the best split (18-2) they ever had in LCS history. After he left TSM, he consistently won 3 splits back-to-back on liquid, while TSM went on a slump for 4 years. Then TSM got him back and guess what? He got them a victory and proceeded to retire, the first trophy they had in years. DL is not only a legend in LCS, but also a great teammate and player. Just look at the clip where Jensen wins his first LCS trophy after wanting it for so long - Doublelift was voted MVP in that series, but made sure that Jensen got to lift and hold the trophy. I guess at that point trophies didn't matter much for him since he already had so many, he said himself numerous times that he was in it to help his friends achieve their goals. He's not washed up and bitter, he has a legacy that no player except Faker in any region can match lmao. Sure, he never achieved anything internationally but his domestic legacy is and will be unmatched. Regarding Perkz - whatever the reasons may be, when a team is throwing 11mil at you, you're expected to perform around whatever teammates you get and still be the wincon. "My teammates aren't good enough" isn't an excuse for poor performance at that point. Doublelift, having been behind the scenes as much as he as, is giving his viewers his controversial - but realistic - take from a position of VETERAN experience. He's not flaming Perkz personally, he's just talking about what C9 might potentially do as someone who's been there and seen it happen enough. And, pro players are expected to have thick skin. When you perform, you get praised, when you don't, you get flamed. This is what you sign up for when you become a pro, and more so when you're someone like Perkz and so many expectations are riding on you. So it's very natural for people to expect you to take harsh criticism, and I 100% guarantee you that 1) perkz will take it well, and 2) this won't affect the relationship between DL and Perkz AT ALL. But to say that teams didn't want to play with doublelift, or that he's washed up when he literally had the longest career and most trophies of any league pro in any region hands down, is just hilarious. You've either gotta be living under a rock, or just really sad and bitter yourself to make a claim like that.

Lol its just miscommunication Perkz's teammates on C9 can go up to par with him and understand the play he wants to make or call for, all of C9's players are mechanically insan eand pretty smart as well if they just fix their issues in comms and synergy they will be an threat they've shown it internationally but as you saw Perkz and Blaber struggled but hope it gets fixed at Worlds

@@slender289 Fair enough. What synergy means to me is being on the same page without the need for communication though. But yea i agree that they could clean up a lot. It looks like Blaber and Perkz do not have a very good synergy. And since mid jungle synergy is one of the most important synergies on a team. i really don't see them go very far at worlds. Especially if you have watched LPL where the consistency of high level play, tempo and just raw mechanical skill on even the mid tier teams is way higher than any team in NA.
