Lol I never moved the beads off of the board, I just ironed it right on there, with parchment paper in between. The board never melted though :)

Tbh, I always did exactly the same, but I could never get it to melt evenly on either side so I wonder if this will give a more even end result :) such a small change, might do nothing or may make a big difference!

I totally just did these with the normal size beeds, and they definitely were massive. It's a look you gotta really commit to. But I could probably make more detailed designs with the smaller ones.

If you put it over a form while it is still hot you can create 3D shapes. I made a not of tissue boxes and round heart shaped boxes that way. We even made face masks with them!! We created the mask, then after melting 1 side we put a cool thin washcloth on the persons face and laid the melted on 1 side mask on their face. It formed to be perfect for their face. Since it has holes we still had to put a reg fabric mask inside.

In Germany we have thing that work almost the same way. They are called iron beads and it's a common thing for kids to do they just make little pictures out of it instead of jewelry, which is by the way really cool, we put them on a board that is specifically made for doing this. We just iron it with parchment paper over it from one side on that plage and then it's done.
