Beautiful looking speakers. I thought it had the new Satori TeXtream drivers in it as they look the same But they are different as I seen the drivers out of the cabinet as shown on the website. I wonder how the Perlisten would compare with VAF Signature I-93MKII that's in the same price range. VAF that's rated at 92db each speaker and 220.49 lbs that only has 2x7 inch drivers but sounds like it has 12s as it can play that low. Absolutely amazing clean sound with deep bass. Excellent for music and home theatre. Award winning speakers apparently too. I think VAF made in UK or Australia. . I'm in Canada. I sold my Paradigm signature s8 for the VAF Signature I-93MKII. The difference between them was noticeable different. The clarity of the VAF was astonishing better.

Wow, first speaker line company to NOT push you to their flagship? to essentially say the S and R sound the same but only SPL is the differentiating factor is a phenomenal, massive change in speaker design & sales phiolosophy I've never seen before. This makes me FAR more positive towards swapping out my Arendal 1723S front 3 for 3 Perlistns. Anyone at audioholics willing to give a comparison between the two and if this would be a good, rangible upgrade? I was going to buy 2x expensive amps rathere than my current nakamichis but to me, it just makes more sense to pump the money into a better speaker line for the front 3 at least and upgrade amps later where diminishing returens seems to kick in more quickly.

I look forward to seeing how they build out their in-wall line up in the years ahead. I love having the Focal 1000 in both of my rooms, but down the road if I want to try something new and spend more money for the fun of it, maybe I'd try Perlisten.

Hi Gene, I hope this meets your eyes as I’m a month late to this video. Is it correct to assume that R7t towers would sound / perform same as S7t towers in a relatively smaller room? I mean the loudness in details/dynamics. /Anuj

These have the same dynamics, but not as loud as the s7t. Trying to make sense of this comment. Is dynamics defined as the difference between dB in the quite vs loud parts of a song or movie? Since this speaker doesn’t have as high max spl the dynamics get compressed at louder listening levels where that happens at a higher volume with the s7t?

Gene, I love what you do. To be honest though, I bet both models are very nice. Exceptional. But there are still very nice towers out there at let's say 4k to 7k. Do the Perlistens sound that much better for 6k to 13k more? I'd challenge that. You know what model comes to mind that should really give the Perlistens a run for their money at $6100. Atlantic Technology 8600eLR. Gene, you should check it out.
@Audioholics2 жыл бұрын
It's not just about sound quality but sustained clean output. Few speakers cheaper than Perlisten can play as loudly with so much finesse.
@ryanschipp85132 жыл бұрын
@@Audioholics I understand that but there comes a point where you stop turning up the volume right? And that spot is going to be pretty much so the same on all speakers. Even if it's clean output 100db is 100db. Did you check out the Atlantic technology speakers I mentioned?
@Audioholics2 жыл бұрын

@@ryanschipp8513 Those speakers look really nice. It's a shame they don't measure well. Maybe calibration will bring them in line but the perlisten make it so you don't need ceiling absorbers. They have a 20 degree dispersion out of the tweeter.

How does this tiny company have the technology to compete with B&w/Kef/focal/dynaudio? That’s why I’m so skeptical 🤨 I guess Tesla beat all the existing auto makers so there’s always that! Rooting for the underdog here, and can’t wait to listen to these sometime in the near future
