It means if I did not had this started 2020, I would have needed to deport myself because no chance to get this done with I-140 before my time limited L-1 visa expires. It is horrible that the US is the only country in the world where long waiting times for processing actually can make you to have to leave forever despite the process still running (and then ending because you left). I had some 110 days for PERM and 140 days for I-140 approval. This creates a bad incentive to make processes even longer in case you want that immigrants on a work visa leave...
