JT, I have just recently heard to avoid your every other year crop on your fruit trees is as soon as the fruits start to set fertilize heavily because what's happening is the tree is using up all of the nutrition on that crop of fruit that there is and has no energy left for the next year so if you feed it heavily every year you will get a good crop every year.

An interesting tip, think I'll just let it produce when it feels ready and not stress it too much. We all deserve some time off! :-)

I put a pair of red currants in the ground this spring that were doing great until about 3 weeks ago. Now the have red rust looking stuff at the top of the foliage. I’ll be honest, I’m a little worried about it

Atleast my gooseberry bush is bigger than yours and it's producing literally HUNDREDS of berries 😎

That's awesome, I think that momma bush is going to get massive in the next couple of years ... if I ever stop clipping new plants off of it! :-)
