Great explanation of the different types. I've been driving with permanent hand controls and found out about portable ones yesterday. I want to buy a new car and am looking for a way to test drive. Hopefully the dealerships will accommodate the cars for me w/portable controls. At least now that's an idea I can give them.

Nice! When Andrea and I go to test drive i just bring my portables with me, and then put them on whatever vehicle we're testing driving.
