permanent solution to stripped GM battery terminals !! side post

Fed up with those crappy tiny little side terminals that jumper cables will never stay on ? Here's an easy way to modify them

You are absolutely right! Those original GM side post battery bolts are shit! You would think a company as big as General Motors could have come up with something better than that! Great fix and video!

I've been fucking around with this for 2 days in -25 and I got a 2 amp trickle charge on my battery now for all night. My neighbor Jack and I are going to hit it hard tomorrow. I bought a 3/8" bolt and 1 1/2 bolt / 7/16s" or 9/16s head and nut today. Tomorrow, I'm buying some washers to sintch her up good. Hope it does the trick. Thanks. David Alberta

You're welcome . I've probably done this to 20 gm vehicles in my life . We deal with rust here too so tiny rusted terminals are a pain in the ass when jump-starting too
