You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life. -- Winston Churchill More of the quote from Samuel Adams... “If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” I think "may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen" is quite strong.

Billy, gotta say- this is a pretty myopic post. I was once part of a marketing dept for one of the biggest media companies in America. Using PIMP in your personal branding was ALWAYS going to turn off a great many people. Think through a Christian lens - what is a pimp? Who are the victims of a pimp? You knew you were going to turn off some people - it’s your decision, you need to accept the blow back. Tangent - When I was a kid I bought a t-shirt at the swap meet I thought was a riot. It was a spoof college shirt for the Sam Houston Institute of Technology. I was sent home from school - you live you learn. Big fan btw.

I saw 4-packs of fig and dwarf everbearing mulberry trees on the big site that begins with "A" for about 26 bucks. I got both. Lots of mulch and water. I put a mix of green grass clippings and pine straw on cardboard, sprinkle a little forest soil on that, then another layer of cardboard covered with thick green grass clippings and a little more soil. Celeste Fig trees are more cold hardy than Chicago Hardy according to recent research by new fig variety developers. I`m on the zone 8b/9a line and they still need protection from below 15 degrees cold spells sometimes.

@@baneverything5580 I'm a zone 9A and my Celeste fig is right at 4-5 years old; froze a bit last winter, but we covered it with a blanket and only uncovered it once the weather got better. Came through great! The Chicago Hardy is a tiny thing. This is its second year here, probably its third year overall and it just hit its stride. Put on a lot of growth and I'm hoping for a couple of figs next year. I covered it, too, and had no damage whatsoever. jealous of your source for plants. I'll need to track them down. You and your family do a lot more for people than most politicians do. Learning, connecting the dots, and going down rabbit holes, leads to understanding, and also pain. Nowadays, it’s painful to be a free thinker who is capable of critical thinking. You’re smart, so keep those words covered in moth balls. I don’t speak the way I used to, and I am better off for it. I slip on occasion. We are fighting a spiritual battle, my Christian brother. Be well. Keep fighting. - Colin

Man I applaud you for maintaining your composure in Lowes. I've gotten to the point now that if someone actually has the nerve to say my shirt is offensive or anything else about me is offensive, they've just had a bad day. It's like I told my mother one time, if you're offended by what I just said then that's a you problem not a me problem and you need to work on that. I'm not a promoter of violence but "turning the other cheek" is done and over now. If we don't start standing up for what be believe in, then we've just let the lemmings take over.

Brother I hate that you are having to deal with people like that. You and Michelle are always a blessing to me and mine. If I didn't have grandchildren to make sure they make it in this world that is falling apart at the seams I would move right up there in the middle of y'all and Mike the fit farmer Ben and Meg and Jason at sow the land. Would count myself Lucky to have that community. Not only for the homestead knowledge but the way everyone of you guys raise your family Cream of the crop people in my book. Those people are miserable in their own life and just want people to share their misery burns them up to see folks getting along and prospering. God knows your heart and your love for his people those folks can't stand in your shadow don't let them darken any of your day brother. God bless y'all and keep up the amazing work y'all are doing. People need you. We are going to have to rebuild this place when they finish running it down

Thank you for what you post and for teaching us all. I have learned a lot from you and others. Thank you for being a light. Take encouragement when the enemy attacks and tries to discourage you. He wouldn’t go after you unless you were a threat. Praying for you all.
