It’s so cool to realize that many different cultures have their own takes on somewhat the same thing. In Hawaii we use a machine and call it Shave Ice (not shaved, shave, it’s super soft ice). And I know white people have harder ice called Snow Cones. And now I see the piragua and raspado. And I like how Maya said the chamoy, cause in Hawaii we use li hing mui which is pretty much sweet saladitos. This is definitely one of my favorite parts about pero like, it’s nice seeing the similarities between the Latino and Hawaiian cultures.

Hello Pero Like. So happy to see latino/a/x representaition on KZbin. Seriously hope you guys get bigger. As an African American girl with an Afrolatina Dominican grandmother I never really took time to get to know that part of my vulture and sometimes feel ashamed to claim it because i'm unaware of that lart of myself. However I recently just found out that my grandfather (my grandma's husband, who died before I was born) was a Half haitan man. My grandmother frequently refered to him as a latino man as well and honestly it confused me because I wasnt aware haitans were Latinos. It begs the questions are Haitans apart of the Latino/a/x community? Are they accepted by other latino/a/x's? I would love the answers to these questions if you ever see thus comment I would greatly apppreciate it😄
