I think Winged Nosk is actually the form Nosk took to lure the Stalking Devout to its lair. They’re incredible devoted to the royal family so it makes sense.

I'm pretty sure Nosk can read the mind of its prey, and therefore, lure other bugs easier by transforming into someone the prey loves, so I don't think it exactly saw it as Hornet, but that's a good theory

If you struggle with markoth, I recommend using hiveblood and dodging during javelin phases. Also for winged nosk, you can jump, shade cloak and double jump off the ground to avoid any infection attack

Finally, someone else who uses hiveblood vs markoth! This sacrifices some damage which makes failed champion hard, but other than that it's great

@@prismaticpaul Failed champion is pretty trivial if you know how to abuse the stagger phase. Alternating between hitting the armor from above, dreamnailing the head and healing allows you to heal to full every time it staggers. Just make sure not to forget to attack the head once you've healed up, otherwise the fight won't progress.

You should if you are looking for a fun challenge. It is really hard at the start, but after enough time of practicing you can do it pretty easily. The only hard bosses are Markoth and...uh huh huh, the final boss. So far they are the only one that ended my runs (and Markoth scored more than the final boss). But after getting it consistently I can win it around fifty percent of the time without being super focus into it. If you do try it, please have fun, and keep your sanity intact.

All the fun bosses are towards the end, and with Markoth and Zote back to back, dying there means having to grind through all those early game bosses again. Doing all the bosses in the Hall of Gods is far more fun, and the only reason I did P5 was to unlock those.

I watched your videos some times when playing the game, I know you havent uploaded in a while so you might not read this, but I wanted to say, I now have 115 hrs in the game and I am on the third pantheon, after dying to nkg alot, I can now say in pride that I can beat him first try, I think your videos helped alot with that (seriously, I counted over 130 deaths and over 10 hrs from dying to nkg for so long) so I hope you continue these videos with silksong... god knows I'll need them Edit: yeah I'm not doing this pantheon. Great job. I don't know how you beat Markoth in radiant because I can't even get to phase 2 of him. The absolute radiance problem is that sometime there just so many things on the screen at once that you barely have the time to think and breath. Not that I have beaten her in radiant but I would say that she is not too bad as a boss.

When I played Hollow Knight for the first time I was really frustrated during the Collosseum of Fools because I'm (apparently) very bad at the combat in Hollow Knight. That's why your videos helped me with a lot of the bosses during my normal playthrough. When Godmaster came out I was extremely discouraged because I knew I would never ever be able to finish the game to its full content... I enjoy watching people beat the Pantheon of Hallownest, but I'll never even TRY Godmaster for the purpose of not ruining my experience and memory of the game.

The first two pantheons were pretty easy all things considered. Mato and Oro was the only boss who gave me any trouble (and I'm really not that good). Being able to practice each boss in the hall of gods is amazing, I even learned I could damage tank Sheo consistently with my basic charm build. I haven't given the third one a shot yet but it looks like it's a step up. I'd at least give the first two a shot I'm sure you'd be able to do them :) (just don't fuck with bindings)

@@bluebota1023 I mean not really. The only problem with her I found is that there are too many things at once when fighting her, which make it a fairly intense fight. I personally think even though the orb kind of spawn on the knight is not the fairest move, you should always stay mobile and watch out for what move she is doing. But yes she is a really hard boss to beat and will take a lot of time to get consistent on.

Hah, given what lies at the end, and how _massive_ this final Pantheon is, I don't blame you for splitting it into two parts. 1:34 Mhm, I started noticing this before with the map changes, it's a cool twist to mix up things for these repeat fights! And I do love the idea that just maybe Ghost has connected with someone in their adventures. And yeah, Nosk impersonating Herrah (or maybe the Midwife now that I'm thinking about it more) to lure Hornet sounds real plausible. 🙂 Right? Like, we get to NKG and it's like, "Oh right. Yes! Deep focus is finally mentionned! I use it on it's own, with shape of Unn or with quick focus depending on where I am in the pantheon of hallownest. Generally, deep focus alone is good for the first half of the fourth pantheon, deep+shape of Unn is for the second half of the fourth pantheon and finally deep+quick focus for Pure vessel/absolute radiance. I didn't do any of the bindings, so I switched charms at pretty much every bench. For the first two pantheon, I mostly chose different charms for fun, but for the later pantheons I actually tried having good strategies.

when god seeker said "could you be one of them?" the them she referring was probably the higher beings since the god seeker probably didn`t know much about the white lady and thus was not 100% sure weather or not she was a higher being.

The reason why I'm not sure about that is because she could already sense the White Lady despite her intentionally hiding her power and the Godseeker could sense her along with other higher beings like Unn and the Pale King and the final boss. Are you suggesting that perhaps the White Lady's power signature is different enough that the Godseeker is like, "Okay you are powerful but are you the same as a higher being?"

@@PerpetualNoob I think that is what they are suggesting because none of the bosses are actually higher beings except for Absolute Radiance. All three she could sense in these rooms are higher beings, but the white lady power has been suppress by herself significantly. But maybe you could argue that Unn power has also been weaker than it used to be, therefore we can't say that this line would make the white lady stand out. But I don't know so I can't defense this argument against that.

Few Charm Build ideas: Full Nail: M. of Pride, Strength, Quick Slash; hitting fast and hard means a window for only one hit turns into two hits for the damage of three. Full Spell: Shaman Stone, Spell Twister; can be built with flex room - Quick Slash and Catchers means more soul generation. Survivor: Quick Focus, Deep Focus, Unn, Stalwart Shell: Slippery little slug that heals quickly and efficiently; also, the invincibility time of Shell is longer than a Deep Focus cast. You can also hybridize these builds. Shaman Stone and Twister is only 5 slots, leaving room for Quick Slash and Strength for full damage, or sub Strength for Mark of Pride to more reliably hit and therefore generate soul if spells are your main go-to. As well, Deep Focus is extremely expensive at 4 slots, so sticking with just Quick Focus+Unn opens up healing windows (like ducking under Grimm's bats) while still having 6 slots for staples like Strength, Pride, or Shaman Stone. My go-to is full nail. I tend to find the healing charms too expensive, and the trifecta of Strength, Pride, and Quick Slash all enhance each other to the point where I find the trio hard to break, while also leaving 2 utility notches for Heart, Dash Master, or just a bog standard Wayward Compass.

A little tip if your stuck on sister's of battle. If you have shape of unn equipped, then you can heal while there doing a dash attack, as your body will be low enough to the ground to go right under them.

8:48 Technically you can do Marmu wall strats, it's just a little more dangerous if you mess up. 18:55 If your nervous AF at this point I'd suggest having Weaverlings and Grub song charm for safely collecting soul. (It's a bit cowardly but it worked for me and helped me learn how to effectively dodge with this group of bosses.) 22:00 DON'T EQUIP LIFE BLOOD CHARMS!!! JUST DON'T!!! They do not get recovered after Pure Vessel and trust me there are more helpful charms at this point.

Figuring out new ways to style on them, like chaining pogos and shrieks on Vengefly King, punishing Grimm's pufferfish with shriek and nail arts, one-cycling Soul Tyrant's second phase, etc. I've reached the point where I just boot up Hollow Knight to just do P5 for fun, because absolutely dominating every boss in it is just so fun to do. It makes you feel like you've REALLY mastered the game.

Defeated pantheon of hallownest today, if i have a hint to give, do every boss in ascended so you memorize very well their patterns. If you desire you could do them even on radiant, but prepare for hell.

I've beat the PoH several times now, although I haven't managed to obtain any bindings on it yet. My general charm loadout throughout the whole thing has been: Strength (Shaman stone after White Poop Man for... reasons) Mark of Pride Quick Focus Dream Wielder Sprintmaster (Can be exchanged for Nailmaster's Glory) I find that the key to beating the pantheon was to beat all of the bosses in the Hall of Gods on ascended, using said charm combination. I also began to defeat the bosses on radiant (using modified charms) after I died a few times at the end of the pantheon, although I did not radiant Sly, Pure Vessel, Markoth, or [REDACTED] until much later.

I am more of nail person, so I always use Strength Long nail Steady body Heart Quick slash If in battles that required a lot of spells I might take out Heart and Steady body and put in Shaman stone, but generally I still just use my nail to damage all enemies.

Something super important, I think, that you didn't touch on is after beating Sly, he can be dreamnailed to help set up for the Hornet 2 fight, which can be difficult if you took a lot of dmg fighting Sly. Since Hornet 2 is invulnerable in the first few moments, getting a heal in at the beginning can make the difference. Edit: Same concept for Failed Champion. Dreamnail his corpse before the screen transition to prep for NKG.

i think the nosk is a shape shifter and take the form of the beloven ones who lures, thats whywhen we dream nail the corpses before we enter the boss area in deepnest say things like "i thoug you were dead or something like that, but he cant transform into that with voidborn creatures like hornet and the knight so he just transform into them

Really good vid, my guy :D I already was looking forward to this for your help but I already finished it while waiting for this! I still can't believe that I did it! I luckily didn't kill GPZ, so I saved a lot of trouble and pain but I still had struggle with some bosses. First Sisters of Battle, then Winged Nosk and then Markoth and then ofc AbsRad (but that's first for the next vid). But seriously Markoth ended so many runs of me. I still hate him. Ok that was enough rant. My charmset for the whole Pantheon was/is Fragile/Unbreakable Strength, Quick Slash, Shaman Stone and Fragile/Unbreakable Heart. For the part that is resembling Pantheon 4 I only switch Fragile/Unbreakable Heart for Sharp Shadow and then switch at the last resting point again to Fragile/Unbreakable Heart. Ok bye!

My ol’ reliable was Strength, Mark of Pride, Soul Catcher, and Quickslash. I used three of these with very obvious reason. Soul Catcher may be a strange choice but I wanted to gather as much soul as possible without using up as many Charm Notches like Soul Eater does. I also wanted to gather as much soul as possible to use as many spells as possible and heal more often. I may be leaning to a more nail based play style, but spells are important as well. So I equipped Soul Catcher. I could’ve equipped Shaman Stone to increase spell power or Quick Focus to speed up healing, but I’m used to fighting with my nail instead of using spells. Kind of a foolish choice of play style in the Pantheon of Hallownest, but whatever I’m used to. Or maybe it’s actually a smart choice of play style, I dunno. It worked. Sure helped against Markoth though! Cough, cough!

Today I finally reached the final boss of the Pantheon after several failed attempts all week. Most of these failed attempts were because of Markoth and Zote, I think the developers went a bit too far with that combination. I had some initial trouble with Sisters of Battle, Ascended Uumuu (because of my initial impatience with that fight) and the Sly/Hornet combo. Now I can at least reach Markoth consistently. For the first 10 fights I use a nail/spell hybrid build to get them over with as quickly as possible. I then use a nail rushdown build for the next 15 fights until I reach the part with Watcher Knights, Uumuu, Nosk, Sly and Hornet. I then switch to a spell build (while keeping unbreakable strength for the added damage) primarily for Uumuu and Hornet. I then switch back to being nail focused for the next five. Its the final seven that gives me the most trouble. I have mastered Soul Tyrant by this point but you really want to start Markoth's fight in a healthy state. I use Nailmaster's Glory and Shaman Stone primarily for Markoth but they are universally useful throughout. Unbreakable Strength is never unequipped throughout my run of the pantheon. I use quick slash to damage Zote, Failed Champion and Grimm as much as possible. The final slot tends to go to Grubsong to help me recover if things start to go badly. The lack of nail range is a problem but I need the great/dash slash to damage Markoth reliably and safely. With enough practise on these bosses I can beat them somewhat reliably now but Markoth and Zote still remain the major problem. I like Markoth (normal version only) and Zote on their own but when paired together it creates the most unfair part in all of what I've played of Hollow Knight so far. Sometimes I beat them without too many issues and at other times they're assholes who give me the worst RNG and either kill me, weaken me for Zote or for the Failed Champion. Nightmare King Grimm and Pure Vessel are very difficult but they are also fair and consistent. You can improve by practising them enough to consistently beat them. No matter how much I practise Ascended Markoth or Zote it always feels like its up to how generous they are feeling for my attempts. Paired together I find them too RNG depended and unfair. That's enough ranting about Markoth and Zote for now. Time to practise the final boss and the other difficult bosses.

I just barely beat Grey Prince Zote, went into Failed Champion with two health, came within inches of dying several times, then managed to knock him down the first time. After that, I easily filled up on health and soul, then smacked him down twice with some Abyss Shrieks and Shade Souls. But I was so hopped up on adrenaline, I lost to Nightmare King Grimm - a boss I usually have no trouble with - right after.

I'm not planning on doing Binding guides but I can offer some quick advice about the Nail Binding. Spell Twister, Shaman Stone, Strength, Nailmaster's Glory, and Quick Slash are all great options to account for the lack of Nail damage. Nail Arts can do a ton of damage. Quick Slash let's us get almost 2 strikes in in the time it would normally take 1. Spell Twister allows us 1 more spell per Soul Gauge. Strength and Shaman Stone just gives us more Nail and Spell damage, respectively.

The nail binding still allows you to kill the flukemarm spawns with one hit, for the collector, if you are only doing the nail binding, you can use nailmaster's glory and spell twister to just great slash and shade soul anything that the collector spawns instantly, because you don't want him to keep stacking *primal aspids* on you

That's a good point. We don't fight Mantis Lords (only Sisters of Battle) but we do fight both Dung and White Defender, Grimm and NKG, Crystal Guardian and Enraged Guardian, Hornet Protector and Sentinel. But only Winged Nosk. Huh. I don't know why we don't have the original Nosk fight. 😆

Yeah, that's true: knocking Oomas into the acid instantly kills them but then we don't get their explosive center either and we need that to damage Uumuu. 🙂

Question how is grimm is nkg in the pantheon of hallownest even if we banish the troup and not attuned with the god tuner . Either the troup came while the godseaker was in hallownest ( still didn’t explain why you need to beat grimm to enter the pantheon of the sage) Which might work since brumm notes that Grimm did come to hallownest before and the white lady sees a scarlet flame that is familiar. Or the godseaker manner to attune with the nightmare heart when the knight beat grimm ( which might explain it)

A very well-timed video for me, since I've just beaten Pure Vessel with nail binding in practice; should be able to get my 12th binding and then will be starting on serious attempts at P5. A little surprised you didn't mention how good Sharp Shadow is against Winged Nosk. It completely negates the swoop attack (and adds damage!), and since there are enough healing opportunities for when the other attacks hit you, the fight becomes trivial to get past. Still a very annoying fight if you want to keep your lifeblood masks. Godseeker might have been chained up by the Pale Lurker, since she holds the key? We know that the Lurker was a former Colosseum champion, so she must have been a strong fighter once.

Of course I didn’t beat her but I was really happy since it means that she is unlocked in the hall of gods. All that’s left is to practice and finish the job when I get to her.
