Hollow Knight Bosses are Hard Enough

Basically to not go to this boss right after the Broken Vessel

Had just gotten through No eyes for my first time in this pantheon, beat Traitor lord with half soul, got through markoth first try by just spam attacking and pogoing him and managed to defeat Grey prince zote on behalf of me fighting him relentlessly till Bretta left earlier in the play through when I didn’t have alot of the stuff in the endgame. Got to false champion, used that great infinite soul stagger chesse to get full heal and soul in case the next thing wasn’t a rest point. It wasn’t. I lost immediately to NKG, and the fact I have to beat a one in a million attempt boss, then straight to another then whatever Absrad will be for this ending is really discouraging. That said, nothing can make me do all bindings on the previous pantheons.

I defeated hive knight in two descending darks

As soon as I figured out how the heavies worked, I just avoided killing the first two zoms and lived off hopper/fliers, turrets, and heads, and got to 60 on my first try! This was SO helpful, those heavies really were the only thing stopping me, apparently.

I like to use nail masters glory and sharp shadow to punish NKG, and dash slash between firebats. Sharp shadow through him in fire pillars and back slash. and sharp shadow through dive/dash, and dash/uppercut, and pufferfish is entirely his attack I have to dodge.

Pale Kind is a Wyrm, a Wyrm is basically a dragon without legs, and Pale King's husk we see in Kingdom's Edge. Radiance is a higher being, composed of something simmilar to essense, so like a god. Wyrms are physical, radiance isn't. She created a hive mind. Though Wyrms can also do magic, Bardoon says so, they have the ability of foresight, not the ability to cast things in the dreamscape. Radiance always existed in the dreamscape. Pale King didn't put her there, but he tried to trap her in a pure vessel, that's why they needed a pure vessel beacause she contains minds. She doesn't exist without them. She is like a manifestation of a god, and gods exist because people belive in them.

I am trying it on Radiant using shamans, twister, qiock slash, catcher and eater and im trying....

I used to really hate this boss but I've grown to appreiciate it after doing the radiant hall of gods. I think the main issue with it is that the difficulty is heavily skewed by luck. Since you will probably get some lucky wins before you master it, beating it once does not prepare you well enough to beat it again and so the fight can feel unfair, especially when you lose to combinations you've never encountered before. Even when I beat her on radiant, it was because I got lucky in phase 4 and she stayed in the middle for the entire phase, letting me burst through the phase. Overall though she's a pretty good boss fight, but Pure Vessel and NKG are still a step above her in quality.

An even easier way to dodge the Flame Pillars attack is to move away from where NKG is, then after the first one, turn around, jump and dash over the pool of fire and make your way over to NKG. If you only dash that one time and you're far enough away from NKG, you can walk over to him and hit him with Abyss Shriek and none of the other 3 Flame Pillars will even reach you (with practice of course). That's how I dodge it. If you've got good timing, you can pogo attack NKG as he does the Dive Dash attack (during the Dash part). It's a bit tricky because if you're too slow, you get hit by the trail of flame behind him. This also works on Troupe Master Grimm.

I've already beaten Nightmare King Grimm before watching this. I just wanted to see the editing he does for his boss discussions because they're really funny!

My biggest issue with Lost Kin is where he decides to land when he jumps without attacking. 50% of the time he lands in a random spot and I'm fine. The other 50%, he lands where I'm going to be after I try dodging it. If the AI were more predictable regarding this, I would've beaten this fight already. But since I have the Charm Crab mod (which has a lot of benefits and just as many drawbacks), if I touch Lost Kin, he takes away THREE HP! Which makes his jumping around randomly so much worse!

The biggest reasons I love this fight so much is because of how Quirrel tags along. It's nice bonding with Quirrel as we work together to take down a massive Jellyfish

26:57 Sadly, since all endings are equally canon according to Team Cherry, Silksong would have to be a prequel in order to stay true to this statement, because in the Sealed Siblings ending, The Knight & Hornet get locked in the Black Egg Temple. I do hope THK and Hornet went on to live a happy life together tho. (Just some clarification in case some of you don’t know: While defeating The Radiance is referred to as the “True Ending” in the Hollow Knight community, this is technically an inaccurate name, because, as I already said, Team Cherry have stated that there is no “true” ending.)

Honestly, Pure Vessel is such a cool character that I didn't even care that I got my butt kick multiple times trying to defeat them.

Spent countless hours trying to beat him, gave up, came back almost A YEAR LATER, beat him in like, 10 tries 😆… I gave up on the Grimm Troupe ritual, because I thought it would never happen… there is not, has never been, and there never will be any string of words and sentences to describe how much relent I feel for myself.

After 3 years I managed to have hollow knight in my njntendo switch and I think I'm gonna die before I've reached AbsRad. Fighting in holloknight with the controller sticks of nintendo switch gives me very bad precision for pogo or hitting and turning between slashes to improve speed of the attacks 😅 I barely defeat Pure vessel cause every time I try to dodge, the controller sticks gets me to the wrong direction if I'm trying diagonal maneuver😂

Feels like a blast from the past when I first found this channel these videos have truly been a help taking down the creatures of hollow Knight all the theories you have the way you formatted it it was easy to understand and I can experiment with a bit more things. So I say thank you because these videos helped me through this game big time And finally my take on this the lore. It seems like unlike in the quote on quote true ending the radiant is merely dragged into the void and snuffed out for now but in this ending the radiance is destroyed. and personally I don't think the night becomes the shade Lord I think all the other vessels in the night and void itself materializes the shade Lord a feral entity it's only mission is to snuff out all light. No I don't exactly know why the shade Lord drags godseeker down with it oh my God secrets stands there at the face of danger God seeker maybe a little pretty much psycho but even a psycho can see danger when it's their in their face are the given that the godseekers the only thing in the way of the shade Lord exiting out I guess I answered my own question. Also I have a feeling that the night is the only one that was actually absorbed. Reasoning the hollow Knight is alive we don't know anything about the other siblings down in the abyss but I can assume they became the tendrils but it seems like the night still has his feral aspects to it but that's really all I can say and it's very long. What all I hope is that one silksong comes out we immediately jump into the battle with the hollow Knight and depending on which ending you got on your very top save file that's where the story begins thanks again

Really late to say it but No-Eyes didn't murdered her children, it's the opposite : they got infected, and then they killed her (maybe they tore her eyes off too, i don't remember)

NGL I used the Invincibility Glitch to do all of the Pantheons on my first time.

How I interpreted some of the attacks. The Bouncing Balloon: The Raidiance is getting fed up with the Puppetry and just tries to Smash the Knight with the Hollow Knight. The Sepuku: This isn't an act the Radiance commanded him to perform (I'm using him and her to differentiate the Hollow Knight from the Radiance here), this act is whatever's left of the Pure Vessel trying to fight back, trying desperately to assist his Kin in defeating the infection. And the Sepuku is the only thing that his remnant Willpower can accomplish when the rest of his body is possessed by a rouge God. And in Phase 4, there's almost nothing left of the original Knight, the reason he slows down is that even with the Radiance desperate for her victory, the Vessel's body is crumbling. His act of defiance worked.
