@@Smeedia definitely thinking 2015 and up it's just hard I really want an STI I've always wanted one but I live down in the south and very rarely do we get snow or inclement weather down here plus I'd be using it probably as a daily so I feel like the standard WRX would be a better option because it's more economical and a better car to daily plus the bodies are exactly the same which is something I love about this generation is how good the design looks plus I can find one with significantly lower miles for a better price and since I tried to hang on to the Miata I could have my fun daily car and my fun weekend car so the wrx is the obvious choice.... but its still not an sti lol
@Smeedia5 жыл бұрын
@@cars67833 I think it's still justifiable, when I live in louisiana I had my 08 and 07 STIs they were a blast on the backroads. It also depends on what you want out of the car. The WRX is a lot more economical in terms of gas mileage compared to the STI. It also I much better for city driving and all the of power is down low. But either option is a solid choice I've owned both in the 15+ generation and I've been happy with both cars.

Your STI is so clean! I wanted to get a license plate delete, but I wasn't sure if the deletes like the one you have will rub the paint in the area or not. So I wanted to know if you recommend the kind you have or if I should go with the plugs?
@Smeedia5 жыл бұрын
Thank you! It has definitely become my money pit 😅 I've ran both, the IAG one I have now has a soft backing behind it so it wont run off any paint. I bought mine used and the previous owner had a plate so I needed something to cover up the holes. But personally I prefer the look of the plugs over the deletes.

@@Smeedia My first plans are primarily cosmetic, to make it mine ya know. Soon I want to get an access port but after that, I have been asking around and I get a lot of different opinions on what to do first. Don’t think so. The TSB that Subaru put out was for the 2015-2017 models because the firewall was made with 1mm thick metal. The 2018+ models of STI and WRX have 2mm thick firewall to correct the issue. I haven’t heard of any issues with the 2018+ models since they upgraded the firewall thickness
