Thanks so much for watching. Your keyboard work is one of the primary reasons I loved the song so much. My two favorite keyboard instruments are bells and choirs and the way you applied them to the song took the song from maybe a 7 up to a 9 or 10/10. You guys are killing it. Also, this is original sounding prog metal, which is a bit hard to come by these days. On my next album, I will use one of your tracks a reference track while mixing to try to get that huge keyboard sound you have.

If you're checking them out more, you should know how to pronounce their name🙂. Per-SEH-fuh-nee (or pər-SEF-ə-nee if the international phonetic alphabet is more your style). 4 syllables. It's the name of a Greek goddess, daughter of Zeus and Demeter. Actually, a lot of people get this wrong, so don't feel bad. I don't know why they spelled it that way instead of Persephone, which is the more traditional spelling. Insanely great band though. Their 2013 album _Spiritual Migration_ is one of my absolute favourite albums ever, and their 2006 concept album _Core_ (coray...again with the odd pronounciations) is unreal, with the addition of tremendous female vocals courtesy of Marta Masafret. The production on _Core_ is a bit raw, given how early on in the band's career it was recorded (and with limited resources to boot), but it is still technically phenomenal, especially the guitar and keyboard work.

Thank you for the detailed response. I had no idea how to pronounce the name. Haha. Thank you for letting me know. I'll definitely do more of them in the future. Thank you for the references on what albums to check out. To say I was insanely impressed with these guys, would be a big understatement. Haha. Again, thank you for the comment and thank you for checking out the video. I appreciate it.

Let me know about any other bands that sound like these guys! I would love to check out more music in this specific vein of prog metal!

Persefone are really one of a kind, pretty unique in their sound. I have not found anyone who does that kind of prog just like them. But , if you like metal with an unusual twist to progession and melody, I would recommend: Ne Obliviscaris - And Pleague Flowers The Caleidoscope (check ot the live performance!) Shylmagoghnar - Transience Be'Lakor - The Smoke Of Many Fires

I have heard of Ne Obliviscaris and Be'Lakor. Both are amazing bands! But I have not heard of Shylmagoghnar. I love checking out music that is new to me. Thank you for the suggestions! My ever growing word document of bands to check out continues to expand. Haha.
