Kore just translates to Girl or Daughter and isn't her real name, it's one of Persephone's pseudonyms, which they used for her before her decent into the underworld because most cultures at the time were afraid of attracting the attention of underworld gods by saying their names. she is also called deponi (probably spelt that wrong) or The Mistress by what is believed to be a cult for her and Demeter (Demeter having the same title but Persephone is the only one that's referred to singularly by that title)

The original context of the Myths around Persephones abduction is actually really interesting when they always frame Zeus as the villain of the story- He gave Persephone to Hades as a conciliation prize, and it was his idea if i remember correctly to have the half year spent in the underworld. And! Hades never really cheats on Persephone, there's one with Minthe but the timing is confusing because ancient greek mythology is always confusing. And than you get the fact that Persephones descent into the Underworld actually predates the character of Hades as a WHOLE- he didn't exist in Mycenaean Greece, but Persephone and Demeter both did- perhaps even before Mycenaean times. Interesting stuff
