Whoever sais „You dont know how to play against her“ are those who dont even played against her or just want to act though on the internet just like 80% of LoLs community in the forums. What he said is 100% absolutly true. Her W is ridiculously busted ability that demolishes everything in teamfights. You use Exhaust to reduce the DMG from an enemy assassin for example to help your ADC survive and she takes that too and can use it for her ADC or herselfe. You use Redemption to keep your team alive as sup she can use that too. Its just an ability where you dont need timing, skill or anything else that depends on you and your skill. Its just an ability that makes no sense and still changes the whole teamfight even tho it can be your first time Zoe. You pick it up and use it.. aaand + you get Ahri orbs which also does more dmg while Ahri can use that once after idk how many seconds and does less DMG. There are things where you can have an opinion but then there are facts too and im pretty sure that its a fact about Zoe‘s W. Remember Galios W? How busted and then they nerfed it? What about her W? They buffed her Passiv and W and nerfed her Q so people play more with her P and W but fuck no now literally EVERYTHING is strong.

Jax is a fair champ. I wouldn't say he's over powered or underpowered, it's just that loads of people seem to think that unfun means powerful. If a champ existed in the game that had a point+click instant kill ultimate that went through guardian angel ect, but it was on a 10 minute cooldown, would that be broken? No it wouldn't be broken. What it would be is unfun because even if it's only happening once every 10 minutes no one likes getting one shotted. Jax is different in reason but he's also just like that as in he's rarely fun to play against. He's far from League's worst offenders in this regard however.

These aren't useful facts. Win-rate is a notoriously bad way to determines a champions viability. And listing win-rate without also listing pick and ban rate besides is disingenuous. Ahri has been under performing the entire season and Jax hasn't been relevant since season 4. Hash said nothing incorrect here, and if you watch players like Bjerg's streams/vods you can hear them talk about Zoe sometimes too, and they say the same thing. There is no counter arguments to anything Hash said, you pulling up win-rates out of context does not invalidate his points in any way. It really isn't difficult to understand unless you're just disagreeing with the statements because of the person that stated them.

Zoe play rate: 4.29% Ahri play rate: 3.65% Zoe ban rate: 3.59% Ahri ban rate: 0.20% Zoe win rate: 47.63% Ahri win rate: 49.87% We can see that Ahri (a much easier champion to play btw) Has only a higher win rate and far lower play rate and an incomparably low ban rate. Zoe is 5th place most banned mid laner and still has a higher play rate than Ahri, the 20th most banned (out of 41.) We also know that Zoe is a more difficult champion to play well, and her play rate right now is MUCH higher which will drop her win rate accordingly. So what was I supposed to acknowledge again? I've been wondering why if you stun or snare Zoe in her ult she still gets to pass through her ult? Landing a stun snare or knockup on a Zoe ulting is actually pretty hard too. You pretty much have to predict it. Why is she an over the walls champion when she can't die from over the wall yet murders from the safety behind it? Then blows her own flash to get over it or if she's lucky she already has a flash pickup and then picks up more flashes because nice try not getting nuked.

I personally think the game was in its best state when it was fairly new. The champions had linear kits that could be predicted and countered very simply. Nerfing or buffing involved number changes, not reworks. There are a lot of arguments against the usage of winrate to determines a champions viability. Not too many arguments for it. It's unfortunate Hash keeps using it but it really doesn't mean much without a lot more context. If you're comparing two champions within the same role/tier to each other it's useful as long as their play/ban rates are similar as well. But otherwise you get absolutely no usable information out of a champions win rate on its own.

I'm at diamond 3 right now, and everytime I have a Zoe in my matches, she's just obliterated. Her lane phase is the most pathetic thing I've ever seen, her ult makes her vulnerable so you can land an easy CC, you can gap close her to save a team mate from her Q, without taking much damage, you can make QSS to delete her E, if you manage your flash correctly you can bait her to dive you and die, her Q is easy to dodge, her E is predictable, if more than one person focus her on a team fight she's dead, and I could go on and on. You can't wait until mid game with a fed Zoe to start complaining about how the champion is broken. Her enemy laner is just braindead. When Soraka had more AD than Tryndamere people also said she was broken, so Riot nerfed it. The only difference is that Zoe players adapt after every nerf she receives, while Hashinshin refuses to get out of season 2. It doesn't matter if it's a Zoe or an AP Rek'Sai, if you feed, you lose.

Now that's just some lower elo salt. Yi wasn't good because he was a farm jungle, and junglers that have higher impact did better, which means if you play Yi and are winning that means that you could either play another character and do better or that the other jungler wasn't doing what other junglers are supposed to do. Yi could 1v1 early game but that's really all he could do in the metas before this one. Like all the weaknesses of tank jungle with no upside. Yi was enabled by gold funneling and clown fiesta bot.

Just because it does more things doesn't mean those things have anywhere near the same value. The AA negation is not as good as a Blind like Teemo Q since it only affects him for a short duration and he most of the time will be ending it early for the stun. The AOE reduction is a small amount compared to any other champion with damage reduction values in their kit. The damage it deals and the stun is easily avoidable, and you can interact directly with his E by choosing not to charge it with more damage. That introduces direct counter-play as now YOU as someone laning against Jax get to determine how much damage his E does, NOT him. So your arguments have all died in the water. However feel free to respond and continue the debate.

Why is hashinshin allowed to make an argument on the grounds of how many things an ability can accomplish? You and I can bicker back and forth about the utility of Zoe's W and Jax's E, but that doesn't get us anywhere. Since you want to make that argument have you thought about how Zoe's W is dependent on what she can pick up, thereby making it more circumstantial than most people admit. Lets not forget how well Jax performs even if he lost lane, yes zoe has great nuking mid onward, however its not as if Jax doesnt do the same thing. If you want to call Zoe a statcheck champ then Jax might as well be one too. Zoe's win rate goes down the longer the games go, however Hashinshin only wants to look at overall winrate, which is still low compared to other mid lanes compared to other champions of similar pick rate in the middle lane. Zed and leblanc, more so lb, have similar pick rates as zoe, yet Zoe's win rate is lower. If you cant see how much of Jax's dick Hashinshin likes to suck you have to be either willfully ignorant or deluded into the cult of Hashinshin

I'm not a Hash fanboy by any means and he articulates his arguments poorly and for the most part citing bad evidence such as win rate. But that doesn't invalidate his claims by any means. Zoe's W IS dependent on something she can't directly control, but that variability hasn't managed to change the fact that the ability is valued at such an inordinate amount. Typically if a champion has in their kit something they cannot control (or at least not well) that introduces counter play. Such is the case for abilities that are skillshots (can be dodged) or channels (which can be canceled.) Her W is neither of these. She can last hit a minion, get a random Redemption. It would be fine if it just gave her some stats for a short time, or if indeed she only had a short time-frame to pick up the shard. But she has twenty seconds to do it. You likely won't be zoning her off it for 20 entire seconds. And if she picks up something like an Ignite or proto-belt or even freakin hourglass. Well, you're not doing anything for an entire minute. You have to play safe way back knowing she has double ignite, or she's got proto-belt to add to her combo early. Just insane value for an ability on its own. It could stop there and just be this passive, and it would STILL be too powerful. But on top of that it's a better version of Ahri W? It has a higher base early, and .15 more ap ratio. It lasts twice as long (10 seconds to Ahri's 5.) And on top of THAT! It grants Zoe up to 70% (WTF) for 3 (WTF DOUBLE) seconds. That's not even decaying movement speed. It's 70% for the entire 3 seconds. We can talk numbers all day like win rates ban rates and pick rates. None of the matters when you look at what this single ability does. Don't just take my word for it either though. You can watch Scarra's analysis, I've seen Bjergsen talk about it. I'm sure others (I don't watch any others) have agreed. This champion is NOT balanced. At the end of the day there isn't an argument against it unless you're willing to completely ignore reality for statements like "You and I can bicker back and forth about the utility of Zoe's W and Jax's E, but that doesn't get us anywhere." You're literally stating that arguing the point (the utility of Zoe's W) won't get us anywhere? That's basically admitting you'll never change your mind no matter what even though the arguments presented have still not been refuted.

I have to agree on that. Some concepts for champions just literally make them impossible to balance. I'm a long time cait main, and i always played duo with my buddy, and we enjoyed the agressive all in style with his thresh or braum, we won some, we lost some, but we were having fun nonetheless. Once i just looked up i guide on how to play cait correctly, just out of curiosity. Game ended, me having a 1/0/7 score, just playing a pure ''by the book'' autisthic mode. Push non stop, take twr. rotate. push non stop, take twr, rotate. rinse and repeat. effective? yes. A complete snoozefest of a game? fking. yes. And that was after the string of nerfs that hit her. So basically the second she becoms at least halfway viable, she's a pick or ban in proplay cos that's how pro teams work, create pressure on the map at alll costs and make plays in enemy jungle or drake. And if you rinse that with really solid lategame teamfighting, a huge safety net in her range and her w and e, and really powerful ''Holy shit wtf hit me'' passive, we got a char who's balance lays literally on a nanographene blade's edge. So once they nerfed her enough that the only viable way of playing her is the correct way, a.k.a. pushing authist, stopped playing her at all.

He compares only their W ability, but in reality Zoe overshadows everything Ahri does. Ahri has 2 second E CC, so does Zoe but with Zoe you get bonus TRUE DAMAGE and pass walls to increase the range. Zoe does what Ahri does, but with way lower cooldowns and more usefull kit overall. They call this "Powercreep"

Actually with Azir counterstrike does counter his soldiers as auto attacks, while he does apply damage it cannot apply for example Nashor's Tooth similarly to how Yasuo can Q him while he's counterstriking but things like Frozen Mallet or idk like BORK? And what he's referring to when he says it's patch-by-patch is probably the fact that he notices that the damage is always the same or something but that's probably just cause Nashor's Tooth isn't being built as much.

I'm just going to be blunt here, unless you play as a 5 man in comp at high ranks, pro play has absolutely no bearing on how a champ works. Zoe is objectively overpowered in proplay, but so is ryze, azir, and many other champs who other wise aren't that strong. I'll admit Zoe is a pain to deal with, and I personally hate champs that are almost permanently safe (Zed, Zoe, almost every tank, etc.), but the reason why champs like Zed, Zoe and Ryze work is because they are very safe champs, which when playing against high skill players it is very important to not make mistakes that are highly consequential. Zoe is like plenty other meta pro play champs, if she plays perfectly it's like boxxing with shadows, except those shadows actually hurt. My personal major complaint is, like most champs if a skill shot flies from an unseen location it isway harder to dodge and the fact Zoe promotes a play style reliant on removing as much skill expression from her opponents is insanely toxic. If you fight a good tier Zoe it's one of the worst things to experience, but to be frank, most people who play against a Zoe don't have to worry that much, I must say this, Zoe is objectively and deceptively overpowered, I played her obsessively for a few months and the fact she can 100 to 0 an enemy with a fairly basic combo (E+AA+Q+AA+Q+AA with maybe your flash or ignite if they survive) is disgusting, the whole combo lasts about 2.5 seconds and the damage output is ludicrous, if they don't want to Nerf her damage, then Nerf her cooldowns (at least early, her late game sucks so giver something to work with.).

Zoe's W does more damage because she can only use it when she picks up a summoner spell. Once she pops it, that whole ability is gone until she can get another. And they only drop from random minions one per wave and when champions use their summoners. And unless I'm mistaken, she can only get the minion one if she last hits the minion. So yeah, it should do more damage.

I agree Zoe’s W should give no MS, and they should nerf the damage more. Make it 50/75/100/125/150 (0.4). It’s completely ridiculous how overloaded that spell is. 70% non decaying MS for 3 seconds.. why? Why does she even have that? Why does it have no cooldown in between casts? Why not give it like 5 seconds? Stealing summoner spells and items is already an incredibly strong mechanic in itself. Why does it do so many other things? It’s unnecessarily overpowered for no reason. Her E-Q-R-Q combo is long range CC into 100-0. It’s not like the rest of her kit isn’t extremely powerful. The hp per level part I disagree. The reason she has 92 per level and bruisers like Irelia and Jax have 85 per level is bruiser items give a lot more health than ap items so the hp per level is balanced around what we build.

I still don't think Hash understood that even when champions like Jax are below 50% winrate, Jax isn't bad at all. He is consistently good at everything but a master of none (same in his lore but more realistic :p) So therefore when he is strong, it is so difficult to punish Jax because he is good at everything. There's too many things to punish that Jax simply won't get caught out by doing the same thing over and over, because he is capable of many things. When Hash loses lane and often the game as a result it is because he doesn't deviate from the basic play style he has, rather than playing to Jax's (or whichever champ he is playing) strengths.
