This is the episode that 100% convinced me that POI was the best show on network television period. The attention to detail by the writers to create this labyrinth that lasted 20 episodes to complete the arc of Reese's character was nothing short of genius. The pilot created this conflict & it took 21 episodes to bring about a resolution. For the viewers who invested the time to soak in the message all season long, this was a MASSIVE payoff that was well worth it. You have to look to cable to find a show that rivals this level of acting and writing. I miss it.

@@MyRofaith Are you suuuurrree he's dead??? Reese has been shot at soooooo many times for five seasons, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if they did a special that showed how he beat the odds yet again. 😎😉
@Tekisasubakani4 жыл бұрын
@@crystalemullen Nah, it works and gives him closure and finality. Finch, Fusco and Shaw are alive and able to enjoy their lives, and the world is free from the menace of Samaritan. Reese accomplished what he set out to do, whether he realized that was the case when he started with Finch or not. Honestly, a better ending than I expected for a rushed final half season.

That ending scene with Finch and Reese in the hospital is amazingly powerful. Jim Caviezel and Michael Emerson are amazing actors, they can say so much just using their eyes or body language. The song fits so well with the ending too.
