​Person Place Thing: Jami Floyd​

​Jami Floyd is the local host of NPR's "All Things Considered" on WNYC. She has been a news junkie ever since childhood, when she delivered newscasts for her grandmother from the dining room table. In a journalism career spanning two decades, Jami has worked on everything from breaking news to exclusive interviews to long-form investigations. She has worked for CBS news and ABC news and had her own show on Court TV. Over the years, she has appeared as a commentator on many news outlets, including CNN, Fox News, NBC, MSNBC, and PBS. Jami has won numerous awards, including a Gracie, two Tellys, a Maggie, and two Cine-Golden Eagle Awards for journalism. She is currently working on The Other Box Project, a series of public conversations marking the 50th anniversary of the Supreme Court's Loving v. Virgina decisions that forever changed the lives of mixed race couples.
