Doing it before anyone else can: These evil Space Marines are called The Thousand Suns. They use all sort of demonic magic to destroy enemies. Most of them don’t technically have a physical body instead it’s like space dust and magic in their suits. The Lego sound effects are perfect because my friends did the same joke

Cool detail about this game: About 100 of them actually retained their bodies. Those were the ones with psychic powers. Because of that, when you kill a thousand son sorcerer in game, they just bleed normally and don't turn into dust.

The ones that are dust are basically having a panic attack that is way worse all of the time except for when they are briefly called to be animated to fight by a sorcerer. I will find the quote later. Be back in a hour ish.

The reason they have the Egyptian theme for the Thousand Sons, is that they originate from a place called Prospero. Their Primarch, AKA big, red daddy, Magnus the Red, made a deal with a big scary god named Tzeentch to save his boys from something called the Flesh Change, only to have them end up becoming mutated and undead spirit soldiers

Wrong. The reason they are an empty husk of armour and dust is not due to Magnus's deal, but the legion captain Arhiman, that performed a ritual called later "Arhiman's Rubric". These are the Rubric Marines, all that is left of Thousand Sons legion Astartes that didn't possess enough psychic abilities to resist the spell. They are nothing more than mindless automatons. Since that day, 10000 years ago, Arhiman is looking for a way to reverse the ritual and became obsessed about arcane knowledge and the infamous Black Library in the eldar Webway. Fun fact - Yvraine, of the Ynnari sect, tau ted Arhiman by returning the Rubric Marines back to their former self just to tear the apart in front of the Chaos Sorcerrer.

The Emperor reaps what he sows tbh, he saw the Primarch as mere tools to aid his Crusade, not living beings with real feelings. Thousand sons rubric marines no longer have physical bodies as a result of Magnus' deal with Tzeentch. As such, all such space marines have been turned into piles of dust and chaos corrupted souls inhabiting suits of egyptian themed power armor. There is an exception to this in the form of lesser and exalted chaos sorcererors of the thousand sons. True to their nature, these are space marines who take to spellcasting.

@@paytonkraft7564 Nope. The procedure is called Rubric of Ahriman, basically Ahriman tried to learn some dark magic to save his brothers from mutation, fcked up and they turn into Rubric Marines. Magnus made a deal to save the legion from execution by Ferrus and Tzeentch also steps in to stop Magnus from killing Ahriman

There’s actually a reason the leman Russ tanks are tiny it’s because their models are pretty old so they’re made before the models started getting scaled up and getting bigger and more detailed, there’s a even more ridiculous looking variation that has a tiny barrel jokingly called a “chode barrel” by the community

Its also because its the main battle tank of the Imperial Guard. And they are tiny, puny little normal humans. The tank - just like the humans who occupy it - are small, expendable tanks built for mass warfare. Compared to something like a Baneblade the value and distinction is obvious to see.

The Leman Russ also occupies the same role as the Sherman tank did in WW2, mass produced and fought in large quantities. There are larger tanks out there such as the Malcador, the Macharius and the Rogal Dorn. Then we get into the super heavy variants like the baneblade. The Leman Russ Battle tank also has more high tech weapons that can be put on it, such as plasma cannons and multimeltas.

Yeah thats right, Tzeench is the God of change, trickery and all powerful knowledge. Those minions are called Tzaangors, you can use them in a fantasy Beasts of Chaos army too. I guess they're not full demons as the common Tzeenchian Lesser demons are pink/blue/brimstone horrors and screamers. Although there are more.

Chairon revealing himself to be a survivor of the "Calth Atrocity" goes a long way to justify his berserk freakout. Poor kid got grabbed up after one of the opening salvos of the Horus Heresy, turned into a Primaris (Given he's first generation Primaris likely means he went through a lot of awful experiments if Tetrarch Felix is any indication), and crammed into a stasis tube for 10,000 years. Homey has every right to be that angry. I'd point and tell you to read the lore but that battles wiki page is almost a novel by itself. 😆

The reason the Thousand Sons break apart like lego pieces is because of their late mutations that were harming their chapter, so their chief librarian Ahriman made a deal with the Chaos god Tzeentch to 'transform' them to prevent the mutations and save the chapter. This moment is known as the Rubric of Ahriman and all non-psycher Rubric marines are just forms of dust with their souls piloting the armor. Sure it was a trick by Tzeentch for eternal servitude, but now they are able to technically never die. Ever. Just as planned!

The rubric was a spell of cataclysmic scale which turned most of them to dust, not a deal with Tzeentch, which was stopped by Magnus’ intervention. Also, Ahriman was chief librarian not the chapter master.

traitor guardsmen are easy to kill in the same way a wasp swarm is, they will try to avoid your shots and their blue lasers can whittle you down, or prevent your armr/health regeneration. add that they fill you up with that hallucination effect and they are actually really good at being annoying.
