As someone who played 3, 4 and 5 day one as they were released in the west, it’s cool to see someone younger have the same general opinions - p3 having the strongest story, p5 having the strongest presentation etc. I think it’s cool that Atlus took what they learned from p4 and p5 and brought it back to p3, since p3 was the title that changed the direction of the series. But it’s nice to see P3R isn’t going to be 5 with a coat of blue paint. They love the story as much as we do.

Totally agree, I think P3R is going to be a really interesting mix of what Persona was and is now especially considering it changed the direction of the series like you mentioned. It'll also be interesting to see how much of what P3R does will carry over into future Persona games. It's very exciting! -Tin

Honestly, adding the Answer and the FEMC is such a huge undertaking for Atlus. It’s so much extra work, unless the game was $100 off rip I don’t see it being worth another like 4 years of work and hundreds of thousands of dollars.

This is exactly what people don’t yet. Atlus obviously has some shitty business practices but expecting a whole new alternate protagonist route with the first ever full scale Persona remake is the definition of setting expectations too high

Sure, but if they had planned to include it from the start, that would be less of an issue. They would have built the budget and development around their inclusion but didn't do that. I think a big issue people have with that is it means we'll probably get another enhanced version of the remake down the road that does have The Answer and FeMC and they will once again charge full price. This remake was the perfect opportunity to create the definitive complete Persona 3 experience. At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter because the game will be good regardless, but it doesn't hurt to expect more from your games. Especially since this is the 4th version of the same game. -Tin

@@TinMaxx or it’s just the possibility they just went in with very specific goals in mind with this remake from the get go. When it comes to P3 the main focus would have always been the core main story for better or for worse for some people. The plan was to take the core aspect, improve, possibly experiment and run with it and it definitely shows. It’s as simple as a single decision that people who wanted something more expanded wouldn’t be happy with. This mind you is under the belief that they COULD set aside a budget yet they made this decision. Besides that though might I ask: why hasn’t there been another FEMC outside of portable in the mainline series? FEMC came about because they were dealing with much more smaller hardware. Since most of the game your dealing with PNGs it’s no wonder why they could add the things that they did. To say that they could have put aside a bigger budget for this world also apply to persona 4 and 5 with the possibility of a FEMC. Ether way it goes budget and development IS a strong factor as to why both the answer and FEMC where dropped. With everything already added for Reload your essentially asking for a mega game while they are still working on other projects in the background. Lastly I can’t see a rerelease being a strong point of discussion as nothing official on the matter has been stated, leaked or pointed to. Frankly this whole discussion is very much so caked in jadedness and bewilderment that Atlus made the decision that they did. Sure a rerelease isn’t outside the norm of atlus when it comes to some of their titles but with how they are treating reload I highly doubt this is their plan in 4 to 5 years. In the end it seems kinda like a doomer approach to the matter without anything more solidified. I fully understand being disappointed that the extra content was cut but this is stretching my belief a far bit

@BLIZZ2012 I mean, it's really not that deep. I made it very clear that I'm still excited about this game. None of it really matters because it's not changing at this point. I understand arguments on both sides, and the people who are disappointed are valid. Something they loved in the old versions of the game won't be in the newest version of the game, and that sucks for them. As for the rerelease Atlus has had a special new edition of each Persona game starting with Persona 3, which had 2 extra editions at that. It's not unreasonable to assume that they would do the same with this remake, especially if they are treating it like a man entry to the series. It's just a very Atlus thing to do. -Tin
