Persona 3 definitely has the most emotional story and in my opinion also the most interesting and relatable main cast. Can't wait for new fans to experience this!

I've played P4G already and I really liked it! Is there any point in playing P3Portable after the Persona 3 Reload though? Just curious. @@nightwish1453

@@madamemoonie mainly the FEMC which reload lacks along with the answer, time will tell if either content will get in reload though I have this doubt they would bring in the FEMC as she is more than just the MC with script changes etc and not just being female and serves as an opposite to the MC

4:07 yes. It's called the Fusion Spell. It was from P2 but they remove it in P4 onwards. In P2, iirc you can only use the fusion spells with a party member but in P3 Makoto Yuki does it alone. He can summon two personas. 4:47 yep.

@@madamemoonie in P3R they reworked how fusion spells work tho. They introduced Theurgia. Which all the characters have but for characters that had a specific mechanic unique to them they reworked it to be part of their theurgia special attack. For the MC is the fusion spells. In the og. You needed the personas on you to use the fusion spells. Im hoping that as long as you have one on you and the other in the compendium youre able to use the fusion spells still. Especially now that you cant use it whenever you want.

@@madamemoonie alot of the older characters ended up having more feats then the newer casts like everyone in 1 and 2 pretty much has a wide range of personas akin to the MC though they have a range of affinities where some of them are good at one arcana or they are terrible at using another like being good at using judgement personas but sucking at magician ones. there is one character in P1 who is so powerful they can just think you out of existence

Yes. The dark hour is in the real world unlike the midnight channel and the metaverse. That's why you feel the stakes are higher in Persona 3 when you play the game.

Persona 3 is pretty dark, turning a lot around death and accepting it… The plot is very very cool and I can’t wait to play reload :)

Yeah, the acceptance of death, compare to the theme of persona 5 about social, 3 is far more dark, the acceptance of loss and moving forward

Getting to go through 'the pink alligator' story with voice lines and better animations is gonna be... taxing on the spirit. Best confidant in all of the games.

It's interesting seeing your reactions. This game is so good. There were several things you spotted that were in the og too. Like using 2 personas for special skills. Hype!

Persona 3 is really emotional , more so than 4 and 5, and it's also a lot darker both literally and narratively. I felt that even the Answer (a post-game expansion in the ps2 version, most don't like it because it's very grindy but I didn't mind) had a few moments that hit harder than P5 in my opinion.

great video! Can recommend going into this game as blind as possible, especially when it comes to the narrative. It's still my favorite Persona (and favorite game overall) by a long shot due to its story, cast and theme. Also some based taste in games and merch. I recognize that VIvi plush and the Rune Factory CEs. :D

I actually was looking to see if you had reacted to this more than 3 days ago and I guess I am late to the party. Haha The original OP is just as good, and I honestly was worried the new OP wouldn’t be remotely as good as the original. Theyre worth a watch as well. Especially since the vibes of the original OP r so special. They ended up capturing it so well with the new OP.

For the record: the Dark Hour doesn't "seep into" the real world in 3; it's always part of the real world, not disconnected from it at first like in 4 and 5 (in the original P3 this wasn't very clear; I wonder if they've added some lines for Reload to make it more so). This also means that the P3 cast can summon their Personas at any time in the real world if they wanted to

Persona games just mark the protagonist as Hero i believe. Because while they have canon names, for example the name of the Persona 3 protag is Makoto Yuki, the hero can be anyone, even you.

I wish i would they didn't show the dog spoiler, it's really cool to find it while playing. I played this game on PS2 when you were a child or probably didn't even born lol My favorite was Persona 4 but i can't say i don't like this game, it was my second Persona series and totally love it, the theme as everyone said in the comments is darker than the others but the combat system was a little bit hard even in Normal mode, luckily they will fix this in the remake so don't worry. Enjoy the journey and if you can't wait for the expansion try Persona 3 Fes, although you'll have to play the full game all over again to unlock the expansion iirc. Have fun!❤

@@ma.2089 Reload, most likely will not be as hard, as Portable and Fes. But playing in Hard or Very Hard without direct command the party members, will probably be as hard as those 2.

I do agree that P3 is definitely GOATed in the series, but it was unplayable 10 years ago. Not to mention today. This re-release is God's gift to mankind. (Pun intended?)
