Ok so you’re not fully aware of this but you can actually get Persona 4 dancing all night on PS4. However, the only way to get that game on PS4 is buying the Persona 3/5 dancing endless night collection bundle which gives you P4 dancing as a bonus.

Persona 4 Dancing isn't *technically* locked on a dead console. While yes, the game is available for the PS Vita, you can actually get the game on modern consoles from the PS4 - PS5. The only way to get this game however is to buy it with a bundle that gives you P3 and P5 dancing with a digital download for P4D. Yeah, you do gotta buy 2 separate games for P4D, but I'm a fan of all dancing game, so I consider this an absolute win for me.

@@matteste a p1 and 2 remake anything can happen really. main worry is they drastically change the gameplay that the the story must conform to it and oldsona is mostly a basic jrpg in terms of it's length and progression

That dig at Tactica...oof. I thought it was the second best spinoff they made, next to P5S. The story was really interesting towards the second half of it and the artstyle change was unique and showed they wanted to make it unique and special

gonna be honest, i was disapointed in strikers and felt the same way how most feel of tactica. just felt like an experiment of the genre clearly not refined and a story that has some moments but mostly whatever. Q2 is the only post 5 spin-off that has wowed me and i still view arena as being one of the best ones as it's actually a competant fighting game and has aged alot better and has that middle ground of getting into with ease but there is that skill ceiling of mastering it that more mordern fighting games are lacking it

@@-jay-2993 i am judging them as the whole game, i found strikers feeling incomplete in content like it was an experiment and this is someone who played similar spin-off games prior to this and realise that it doesn't offer much and hasn't made me want to go back to it. The story being a retread of the original game is executed to end up feeling more predictable than the main game which i didn't think that was possible, it has some moments but mainly in the aspects that the original game didn't do like the new characters and haru screen time. Q2 is fanservice but the good kind, there are dynamics that wouldn't be the first thing people come up with like chie and ann, yukiko and yusuke, akechi and koromaru and the list can go on and are handheld pretty well all things considered. compared to some spin-offs q2 is actually one of the better games at handling the portrayal of the characters with few exceptions. Q2's gameplay is also more interesting, it takes Q's gameplay and refines it to a level that feels very satisfying to play with that I don't think it's lacking in major ways like strikers

predictable and boring story that only picks up in the last 2 dungeons, with overdone character events that we've basically already seen in PQ2 with worse flanderization and writing, its not bad but its not good, but its not the best spinoff actually probably one of the worse

Ngl as a complete noob to the Persona universe, it feels kinda overwhelming to see the sheer number of releases, spin-offs, re-releases, crossovers and whatnot that are out there. I'm still struggling through P3 FES on PS2, but I really like it and want to get deeper into the franchise! Thankfully, your content sure helps with knowing more about the saga, which titles are worth chasing, and overall falll more in love with everything Persona. Thank you, Minty team! ^^

Actually Persona 4 Dancing All Night is playable on PS4/5. You only way to get the game is by buying the "Endless Night Collection Bundle" of Persona 3/5 Dancing and it will allow you to download Persona 4 Dancing with the access to buy the DLC as well by visiting the shop menu button.

My honest opinion, is that I feel Persona is kind unfavored by Atlus. Not because it's bad, but because they feel pressured to take it's influence to other games and it stifles a lot of them. Soul Hackers 2 for example got a really heavy Persona influence and did poorly. Now I'm not saying Atlus hates Persona and I'm finding it a bit difficult to put my thoughts into proper words, but I'm saying they just seem a bit tired by em and want to focus on some other types of stories but feel pressured to do Persona due to it's popularity if that makes sense. Like in SMT V that felt as far away from persona as you could get, and you can tell the devs were excited about it, with the revealing of a demon a day, all the stuff they wanted to cram into it, the sheer level of care they are putting into the rerelease. I hope this is making sense cuz it feels rambly.

For Dancing games P-Studio need to find an outsourcing studio/partner for Persona Q we will wait if Mutan (Etrian Odyssey Origins outsourcing/remastering studio) would like to collaborate again beyond Atlus and Team Maniax but P-Studio too. Persona Q was Nintendo exclusive given its game engine, Arena and Strikers due to their dev partners Arc System and Omega Force doing multiplatform development. For Persona 1 and 2 probably a remake internally if remaster then finding again an outsourcing studio.

I'd love to have PQ series to be ported over to other platforms and better be remastered. I'd more of newcomer into Persona series and ofc P3R was the game that I seen, but one faithful clip of PQ that suddenly appeared in my YT home that made me even goes deeper and checked the other entry (and decide my favorite character). Tho locked in Nintendo system , I don't have that much hope......

So something that I dream of at times is a big spin-off collection of 3, 4 5 dancing with Q and Q2, ik it'll never happen, but I feel like people could get their money's worth with these games. They can flat out just put the Persona Dancing All Night Bundle with all the DLC and work on Q and Q2. P4D is included in the Dancing All Night Bundle. You can even buy the DLC for P4D but not on the PS4 Store, which sucks. You have to go into P4D and hit the dlc button on the menu. I'm always of the opinion that there is no bad persona game. Some are just worse than others, but none are flat out bad. Persona 1 and 2 could get a remake, but instead of graphical upgrades, they could get modern QoL from P3R and P5R. One more system and modern fusion system with chance time could be enough. If they feel really crazy they could get something akin to the AOA with their fusions spells, but idk if they'd do that. Modern portraits, new art. I'd doubt they touch the story since Atlus was very hesitant to do that the first time they re-released the games, on top of them being hesitant to even change the Battle Outfits for S.E.E.S. P1 need to do something like the manga however and combine the two routes into one Sorry for rambling, I just want all these games on modern platforms

If I were Atlus and I had to re-release P1 and the P2 Duology, I’d re-release it with the same graphics and frame rate but with additional voice acting from both the Japanese and English VAs for the plot relevant dialogue and HD Character Portraits (Tatsuya, Eikichi, Maya, Katsuya etc.). Edit: I like the P3 and P5 Dancing games, but I vastly prefer P5 Tactica over those games.

The real reason imo that Etrian Odyssey sold poorly is because the fanbase was for some reason very mad about the 3DS "remakes/remasters" of the first 2 games in the series; which added a second story you could play. The second story, literally called story mode, was definitely different than the classic mode where you played the original story. I myself have enjoyed every game Atlus has done in a first-person dungeon crawling RPG so far.

1.) Persona 4 Dancing was included as a port if buying the collection version of the P3/P5 games thus making it a game not locked on a dead console 2.) Persona 4 Arena is available on the XBox Gamestore as a backwards compatible title, so that version is not locked to a dead console 3.) Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is available on the PSN store as a full PS4 port and includes the story from the vanilla version of Persona 4 Arena.... thus making it not locked to a dead console

As someone who started with persona this year with P5... Vanilla... And that i already throw like 300 dolars on all the games i could, right now i feel like i got into this exactly on the point were i have a ton to play and on the side see the start of atlus doing crazy releases out of the blue for the next couple years. And about dancing all night, yeah, way better than moonlight and Starlight, but you can get It in the dancing pack that sometimes Is for less than 20 bucks on the PS atore, so at least Is out of Vita (actually p4d being held into the 80+ release pack and no standalone was another reason for the big amount of hate)... But thats another issue, dancing games are stuck on PS.

Dang, glad I randomly decided to get the PSP versions of the P2 duology on my Vita (Yes, I did by a Vita in 2012 just for P4G, I'm one of those nutjobs). Though, considering the state of the series, remakes/ports of P1 and P2 could happen, but might be a bit of a monkey's paw. Time will tell.

Excellent video ^ I see a Persona Q and Q2 appreciator and I hit like. Personally I think fans would very much appreciate having both those games available in a modern manner especially Q2 given that it's the game that heavily defines and established P3's female protagonist. We've seen with Reload that the love for this character is through the roof so not giving it a fair shake would be a huge loss on Atlus's part. In regards to the Dancing Games you can get them on PS4 via the Endless Night Collection digitally on the Playstation Store (physical copies with the code would've expired at this point) BUT if you buy P3D or P5D before going that you get locked out of buying Dancing All Night Completely and Sony nor Atlus have never been reported or address that issue which is frankly disgusting for an $80 premium package though thankfully it gets discounted by about 80% every so often. As for the Persona PSP remakes it would be very nice to see those ported to game-pass or switch. I know for a fact fans would buy them in a heatbeat but alas we've gotta play the waiting game since atlus seem to believe remakes are the ticket for the OG's.

It actually pretty funny how persona 5 gets complained about being milked by Atlus when this vid shreds like on how persona 4 got the same treatment, i actually had no idea about that even if i knew it had various spin offs. (Meanwhile persona 3 didn’t get any until the rhythm game unless you count the dead mobile game stuff, which is crazy given it’s gotten more popular and changed the series as a whole) Hopefully that doesn’t happen with Persona 6 when that does come out even if i understand they also do it to keep the series relevant before the next entry. I can definitely understand why they might choose to only port P1 2i and 2e, specifically with p1 im not sure you could remake that game in the style of p3r without rewriting the entire thing - which would virtually just be an entirely new game at that point a lá Silent Hill Shattered Memories (which is a reimagining of Silent Hill for any who dont know). I think it's more doable with the p2 duology though, theres a few angles i could imagine taking to make that fuction in the format of today. Would definitely be interesting to see though, if they chose to do that for all the mainline titles. Semi-unrelated: i really hope the other game(s) theyre porting (is/are) Digital Devil Saga

reload was pretty faithful to it's source material in ways that the narrative is pretty much 1 to 1. i do like to see the old games thrive in some way, a remake could work but the devs have to be very careful on their approach compared to reload which was mainly new engine and p5 gameplay

@@fictionfan0 there is a very notorious bug in some of the early phsical versions of the game where the farther you would progress the more frequent it would crash, thankfuly sega would provide you with a digital code if you had showen proof of you destroying your game, but due to download codes no longer being accepted on the 3ds and the game being delisted from the 3ds eshop the only way to play persona q 1 is to either buy a cartrage and run the risk of it being a defective copy or emulate it

so i know we just got P5X but am i the only one who thinks making it a persona 5 gacha limits itself too much? they've said we are gonna get more legacy characters seperate from the phantom thieves but it feels odd to me that they'd make there long running gacha and lock it to 5 when we are so close to persona 6 and the end of 5s lifespan, especially when they could've rebranded Q into a gacha series going forward and have the U.I stylistically change with each new entry to the mainline series. i'm enjoying it still but it feels like an odd choice.

Persona 1 was my first Persona game I ever tried on the psp and I tried sooooo hard to play it but just could not handle the CONSTANT random encounters literally every 2 steps even with fast forward it was just too annoying it turned me off of the series until P3 Reload came out and I tries it now Persona is my favorite franchise ever

...is the ps4 a dead console? i dont rly pay attention to playstation but im p sure most games release on both ps4 and ps5 these days, ive seen stuff releasing this year that only launch on ps4. but yeah id hate for pQ and pQ2 to get remasters/ports, eo are absolutely at home on the 3ds and remasters of the first three games really dont seem enjoyable at all (and remasters of games that already had remakes is just wild), the dual screens are key. everyone and their mother has a 3ds and its totally worth picking pQ up at least, its a really fun spin on the series since the characters are already set in stone, its nice to have a break from having to build the perfect characters
