This was a very worthwhile video. I will be thinking about my brand and how I am going to “consistently” dress myself to reflect my brand. I think you may have just highlighted to me the difference between personal style versus personal brand. Maybe you need to do a video on what distinguishes the two. I am thinking personal style has to do with silhouettes and adjectives to describe an associated “look” and personal brand has to do with what we associate in the corporate world as what the business consistently brings to the table and what people experience when they have contact with you as a person. But in this occasion, you’re doing it with what you wear. I guess with me; I can start with the word “flexible” and “ movement”. I play tennis and I always have to keep moving. I am a multitasker. I am flexible at work and in other areas of my life. I live in jeans. Thankfully, my job affords me this luxury of not having to have a corporate wardrobe or uniform. If not jeans, then trousers that offer movement and flow. As much as I like the look of tailored in the traditional sense, I do this with say nice jeans, basic or nice top, blazer, and nice jewellery. My shoes either need to be ballerina flats or nice trainers. My feet cannot deal with heeled shoes anymore. I liked your your tip about when you visit the factory and how you dress in similar colours to the workers to show relatability, etc…

Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! I love how you've reflected on the difference between personal style and personal brand-you're absolutely on the right track with your observations. Personal style often captures the “what” (silhouettes, looks, and adjectives) while personal brand embodies the “why” and “how” (the message and experience you project to others). You’ve articulated it beautifully! I also appreciate your idea for a video on distinguishing personal style and personal brand-what a fantastic suggestion! I’ll definitely add that to my content list. I love that you’ve identified “flexible” and “movement” as key elements of your brand. It’s wonderful to see how your wardrobe reflects your lifestyle and values. Your approach-combining jeans or flowy trousers with blazers, jewelry, and practical shoes-is such a great example of aligning your personal brand with what works for you in real life. Thank you again for engaging with this topic so deeply-it’s comments like yours that remind me why I create this kind of content. 💛

@ Thank you so much for your kind words. Maybe another future video could be how celebrities interpret a style or take style and “own it”. An example would be Rachel Zoe. She has taken a 1970s bohemian vibe and refined it to a 1970s chic vibe. She seems to carry that through to her home interior.

I really don't like this video...esp-ly the choice of the women...Ivanka???????? Are you serious?????? A very big NOPE!!! Vogue Editor??? What does she wear??? Same type of clothes and black sunglasses...very boring style indeed!!!! You are talking about the branding of the richest women who have every stylist out there....hmmmmm....not very nice choice!!!

Thanks for your feedback-great point! Let me share why I think Anna Wintour is relevant when it comes to personal branding. Her style might seem simple or even predictable, but that’s actually the genius of her branding. The bob, the sunglasses, the tailored outfits-it’s all part of a consistent, recognizable image she’s built over decades. And that’s what personal branding is all about: creating something uniquely you that people instantly associate with your name. Anna’s not trying to follow trends or reinvent her style every season. Instead, she’s cultivated a look that reflects her authority and presence in the fashion world. Love it or not, her consistency makes her unforgettable-and isn’t that the goal of good branding? I get that her style might not resonate with everyone, but the takeaway here is how intentional and consistent she’s been. That’s something we can all learn from when shaping our own personal brand.

Why I will definitely not check out any Homepage or course of you: Using Ivanka Trump as an example of powerful and graceful fashion without any critical mention of the principles she stands for, especially the impact they have on women's life, is not right. Fashion has always conveyed political messages. There are so many well dressed women in business and politics and this is the example you chose. Does not reflect well on you. Thumbs down.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts-I appreciate your perspective. I chose Ivanka Trump as an example because of her ability to build a distinct personal brand and her contributions to women-focused initiatives, including her book Women Who Work and her past businesses centered around empowering women in the workplace. While I understand that opinions on her may vary, her work in these areas makes her a relevant example of a woman who has successfully aligned her personal style with her professional message. That said, I also value your feedback and will consider including a broader range of examples in future content. Thank you for taking the time to share your input!
