I have this set & love it. Makes it so easy to add smoothies into my life. I like the 20-oz size container - not too much, easy to finish. The containers are double walled, beautifully made. & of course, Vitamix is perhaps the best blender going. Something else I love about Vitamix is that this set will fit on any Vitamix!

Ideally your frozen products and or ice go in first since you end up tuning the container upside down to process.

I really like this product. The 64 oz container that came with my vitamix is so darn large for just me. I love this personal size. I will have to give your smoothie recipe a try. Looks pretty tasty. :-) thank you for this video. I really wanted to see it in action before I made my purchase.

DL Eslah Agreed. Our 750 can pretty much handle anything I throw at it, but I haven't done a dressing and a single serve smoothies just goes all over the inside of the 64oz container. This is great for single serve / small batch stuff that doesn't require a tamper; now I'm on the fence if I want this or the 32oz container.

DL Eslah that won't be the case with the single serve. That's what is so great about it. Small amounts can now be made with little waste. It's awesome!!!

You could use the smoothie button. Either smoothie setting or variable speed setting would work. With a small amount like I’m mixing it doesn’t need to run close to a minute and the smoothie setting runs longer than I needed. You could use smoothie setting and shut it off earlier too. Hope that helps
@mixman19546 жыл бұрын
It won’t really matter because gravity puts the liquid at the bottom as you flip it. It still works no problem as you can see. If you used no liquid I would recommend softer ingredients last but because of no tamper being used a bit of liquid helps quite a bit and I recommend it.

I added agave as an example of a sweetener. Many things can be used to sweeten a drink. Honey, apple juice instead of water, a tablespoon of juice concentrate, maple syrup, or nothing at all. You will find fruit is pretty sweet all by itself. Obviously kids now days eat pretty unhealthy. They might prefer the smoothie sweet so in my opinion I would rather sweeten it just a touch so they will drink it. Most kids like apple juice so that's a good alternative to other sweeteners that may not be as nutritious.

I have Vitamix Model VM0 102D. I see that you have demo-ed the adapter for the "Vitamix Personal Cup". Can this adapter be also used for the 8-oz Vitamix containers? Your response is appreciated. Thank you.
@mixman19546 жыл бұрын
No. Only the 20 oz cup can be used with that adapter
@juno15977 жыл бұрын
why do so many people complain about the adaptor not being like the acent series? it seemed to work pefectly fine in this demo. is there any validity to peoples complaints about the adapter sometimes causing a mess? are people just using the adapter incorrectly?
@mixman19544 жыл бұрын
Yep they are using it wrong. It works great

I have a 5000 and looked at this as a possible solution for my small green smoothies. Then I went to Walmart and bought a Black & Decker personal blender for $20. I think people get a bit carried away with brand loyaltystatus sometimes.
@mixman19544 жыл бұрын
How is the black and decker holding up? If one doesn’t want to be careful of what they put in their blender the VitaMix is the blender for them. Ice cubes, grains, frozen fruit all are not a problem for the VM

Can the adapter cup itself be used for blending (when not using personal cup ?
@mixman19544 жыл бұрын
No the cup needs to be screwed on to the adapter. Sorry for the very late reply

No one ever talks about this, but does anyone know if you can actually drink straight from the 20 oz blender cup without the travel lid? I called Vitamix and a representative said that it's not meant to be drank from in that manner. The mouth of the cup is wide/ fat because that's where the magnets are. I'm REALLY thinking about buying this thing but I don't want one extra thing to wash everyday. Any current users?
@mixman544 жыл бұрын
It’s a big rim but I always drunk from it without the lid
@socl65344 жыл бұрын
@@mixman54 OK, so it's not impossible to drink from. Thanks! I'll most likely be purchasing it now. It boggles my mind why they don't offer a 32 oz shaker cup alternative for larger multi ingredient shakes and why their cup doesn't have measurement markings on it. 20 oz is a tight fit for a protein shake and being that you're never supposed to go past the "fill line" with blender cups or they will leak. Come to think of it, it doesn't have a "fill line" either. I may still purchase it though because of everything else that Vitamix can do and the warranty. I hear these things don't break.
@mixman544 жыл бұрын
It’s a little small but works very well. I just pack it full and put blade on tight. Works great
@socl65344 жыл бұрын
@@mixman54 OK cool. I'm just hoping it doesn't leak if I pack it full because I will have to. I'll most likely get the "A3500" and the "Blending Cup Starter Kit". $700 PLUS just to make "protein shakes". I better learn how to get the most out of this thing. Some of the stuff that I see people do with theirs is completely foreign to me such as making "nut butters", "almond milk", "soups" (who makes soup in a blender)?. I hear it's worth it though and more.

Have you considered buying a refurbished model? Not sure anyone needs the top of the line unless that’s your preference. Every model is quite good. You can pick up an explorian model with personal blender cup for $300 at Costco and it’s a killer machine.

this adapter is $129 at vitamix and most retailers, but is $99 currently at Costco
@mixman19547 жыл бұрын
Becky Carpenter that is correct. Most Costco's are sold out but you can special order for the same price. Delivery can take up to 6 weeks but it usually arrives much sooner. It's been a very good seller for Vitamix. It's a fantastic addition to an already great machine.

I guess I got lucky then, snagged mine at Costco last week.
@mixman19547 жыл бұрын
Becky Carpenter each store only had about 30 so yes you did get lucky. It's a new item so Vitamix will soon be in good supply. Have fun with it. My family loves it

Is it only available when Costco has a special Vitamix event?
@beckycarpenter52627 жыл бұрын
Mae Braña-Reyes not sure, my Costco seems to have a Vitamix demo going every Saturday. I did get mine on a demo day, saw them stacked up behind the demo table before anyone was even there and snagged one. looked like they only had 10 or so but I had no idea it would be a limited item
