This is so helpful! I've watched several videos about retreats and this is the most helpful! Going to do it this weekend to prepare for turning 40!

Maybe it is because of my age, but your thoughts appeal to me. I very much like the parts of MacSparky that go well beyond the Apple nerd. Thank you. Cheers from Switzerland, SR

Thank you David! Headed off to my first retreat this evening for two nights. This video and your materials have been very helpful in planning and prepping my mind for the time away. I'll share my thoughts on the retreat when it concludes for anyone who's thinking of taking one themselves.

Great video. I am fortunate enough to have an RV. Just went to a volcano and ice caves near Grant New Mexico. Couples of miles off the freeway. They have cabins if you don’t have an RV- one of which Louis Lamour wrote one of his book in. Great spot to do exactly this

Thanks David! I’ve committed to taking my first retreat as soon as I can schedule it. Your PDF will be a fantastic guide. This video was really nice because of the calm pace and valuable content. A welcome change from the usual KZbinr flashiness. Cheers from Vancouver, BC.

I thought retreats were good for people who are into that type of thing. After watching this video I realized I am one of those people. I am always left inspired to better myself after listing (or watching) anything from the world of MacSparky!

Great summarization and tasking-out of some big concepts into something actionable during the retreat for a maker/manager. Thanks, David.

Very timely and good advice. For me, a week is a minimum. It takes time to detach from our connected life

This idea seems very much in line with Bill Gates famous Think Weeks. I like your ideas, and can see myself merging them with the length of Bill Gates twice-yearly sojourns.
